Medical: There is a risk to both swimmers and divers participating in the sport. It is our responsibility to make sure athletes are 100% healthy before they are allowed to practice/compete. Please submit a signed and dated doctors note clearing that athlete for practice/competition both via e-mail and in hard copy. Our concussion policy is located on the team website under Team Rules.

If athletes have known medical issues, please notify the coaches right away. Include what your athlete needs to be successful as well as who to contact if there is an issue.

Athletes will get sore. Sore muscles are normal and expected. We want athletes to learn the difference between being sore and being injured. We DO NOT want them to push through the pain of an injury. Coaches will default to the athletes on how their body feels. Proper hydration, sleep and nutrition all help support muscle recovery and prevent injury. We will be encouraging all three throughout the entire season.

Social Media: Social Media is a powerful tool that can be used to inspire or do damage. We have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and the use of illegal substances. These issues will be dealt with in accordance to the district and MSHSL policies. My goal is to build a team that is unified and focused on reaching their goals through positive behavior. Please help the coaching staff by encouraging your athlete to only post positive, appropriate content on their social media.
