Announcements Week of 1/16- COUNTY!!!

Great job to those that swam at the meet on Saturday. Some new county, state and best times! We were second in both boys and girls. Results are on the website. 

It’s COUNTY WEEEK!!! Lots of details below so please read carefully and let me know if you have any questions.

Monday, Jan 16^th- NO PRACTICES (SWIM OR DIVE) POOL IS CLOSED FOR MLK.

Tuesday, Jan 17^th- Normal Swim and Dive practice (final dive practice of the season!!!)

Wednesday, Jan 18^th- No Swim Practice. FULL TEAM Pasta Party!! (Everyone attends!!! Swimmers, Divers, JV and Varsity meet). 6:30pm in the Trojan House. Come hungry! We will make sure to save food for those who may be late from club practices.

Thursday, Jan 19^th- County Diving! JV and Varsity. Warm ups 3pm. Girls start at 430pm and boys will re-warm up for 30 minutes after girl’s competition before starting.

Normal/Final Swim Practice!

Friday, Jan 20^th- Varsity County Swimming Prelims at Mountain View. Swimmers in Varsity county will be released from school after 4^th period (1230ish). Our assigned warm ups will begin at 325pm. Please be at the pool by 315pm so we are there and ready to get in on time! The meet will start at 5pm.

Saturday, Jan 21^st morning- JV County Swimming at Mountain View. Warm Ups will be around 1030am with an 1115am meet start time.  

Saturday, Jan 21^st afternoon/evening- Varsity County Finals at Mountain View! Open warm ups will start around 4pm and the meet will start at 6pm. The top 30 from individual events and 1 relay per HS will return for finals.

Some Notes

• Below is the list of who is on Varsity and JV. Entries are due Wednesday so line up/personnel is not final. Will reach out to you individually if we need to switch your meet.
• Varsity swimmers do not get to pick their events, but you can reach out to me to see what we plan on having you swim. If you are on the Varsity County roster and cannot swim Friday or Saturday please let me know ASAP!!!!!!
• County is a FAST meet. Most people suit up for both prelims and finals. Top 30 come back for finals but you are locked in scoring wise based on the heat you are in (1^st-10^th, 11^th-20^th, 21^st-30^th) so our goal is to get as many in the top heat as possible!
• JV swimmers can select their events in Team Unify. Please commit or decline like normal and pick what you would like to swim—we may still make some changes but will try to have you in at least one of the events you select.
• We will need 3 volunteers at each meet so parents if you are interested in helping please sign up on website!
