Coach Hughes started working as a School Counselor at Lassiter during the 2011-12 school year and was the assistant coach for Swim and Dive starting in 2012. She became the head coach during the 2013-14 school year. She grew up in Cobb County and swam for McEachern High School and Stingrays Swimming club team. She was summer school coach throughout high school and college and coached for Stingrays during graduate school. She went to University of Georgia for undergrad (major in Child and Family Development) and University of West Georgia for graduate school (Masters and Specialist in School Counseling). Go Trojans!
