Swim Board Help-
We are looking for willing volunteers to help make IRST a fun, exciting and memorable experience for our swimmers. No experience necessary, just a willingness to help! There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to run a swim team. We are looking for help to chair or participate on several committees. They are as follows:
  • Swim-a-thon Committee-The swim-a-thon is the team’s biggest fundraising event. This committee will be in charge of collecting donations, finding prizes, and running the actual event. This is a fun job that gets you involved in the community!
  • End of Year Banquet Committee- This committee will be responsible for planning and coordinating a fun end of year awards party.
  • Awards and Ribbons Committee- This committee is responsible for reaching out to vendors to order end of season awards and for ordering ribbons for our home meets.
  • Potluck/Picture Day Committee- This committee is responsible for finding and working with a photographer to take team and individual pictures. They will also be responsible for coordinating a potluck.
  • Volunteer Coordinator Committee- Many hands make light work. In order for meets to take place we need many volunteers to help run them. This committee is responsible for finding volunteers for home meets, invitationals and the Championship meet. If you are an individual wanting to get to know team families better, or like swim meets to run smoothly on deck, this is the job for you!
These are a few of the roles that need to be filled on the Board. As a committee chair you have some room to be creative as you fulfill these roles. If this is something you are interested in doing and/or you have some super ideas to improve IRST (you won’t regret it!) please come to the Board Meeting and/or reach out to a current board member.  Recruit your team friends and take the opportunity to help the amazing organization that is the Indian Ridge Swim Team.
