We are pleased to welcome visiting teams to Johnson Ranch.  We have included below some details to help you prepare for the meet, and also to help your swimmers and families have an enjoyable experience.

Location: Our pool is located at 2600 Eureka Road Roseville, CA. From Highway 80, exit east on Douglas Blvd. Take a right on Eureka Road. Johnson Ranch Sports Club is on the right about a mile from Douglas Blvd.

Parking: Parking for the visiting team is located directly across the street from the club, at Excelsior Middle School. Signs will be posted directing the visiting team to this area.

Team Areas: We invite the visiting teams to set up in the grassy area just outside the pool gate towards the tennis courts. Please see the attached pool diagram for further information.

6:30-7:00  Check-in for home team
7:20-7:30  Scratch meeting
7:30-8:30  Finalize and Distribute Meet Program
7:00-7:40 JRSC Barracudas Warm-ups
7:40-8:20 Visiting Team Warm-ups
7:50- 8:05 Meet Officials Meeting at Ops Table
8:05  JRSC Team Cheer
8:15  First shift timers report
8:20  Relay events 1-3 report to lanes

8:25 Event 1 arrives behind blocks

  • IM & Long free: We prefer to limit the IM and long free to 2 heats for most age groups, but have some flexibility.    Please contact our computer coordinator in advance if you would like more than 8 entries in a given age group
  • Medley Relay: 1 heat per age group
  • Free Relays: Multiple heats as needed
  • Please submit the Meet Manager entry files to our Johnson Ranch Computer Coordinator and  League Rep, no later than 6pm Thursday before the Saturday meet. Email them to: [email protected] & [email protected]

Volunteer Positions Needed:

  • Timers: 12 per team, including 1 backup, per shift; we change shifts at the midway point of the meet (after backstroke)
  • Stroke and Turn: 2 stroke and turn judges per team per shift. Johnson Ranch operates 4 S/T stations, and each team will staff 2 stations per shift. Johnson Ranch's head of Stroke and Turn is Dave Daniels. Visiting Team Head Stroke and Turn will operate as the main point of contact for JRRC head stroke and turn to insure all positions are filled to help keep the meet on time.
  • Ready Bench: 2 people per shift
  • Ribbon Operations: 2 people per shift

Meet Operations: Our volunteer table is located by the check-in on the north edge of the pool near the clubhouse. Please see us at the desk if we can be of any assistance.

Food & Beverage: We'll have a full snack bar operating for your swimmers and families.
