We are pleased to once again welcome visiting teams to Johnson Ranch.  Below are some details to help you prepare for the meet and help your swimmers and families have an enjoyable experience.

Location: Our pool is located at 2600 Eureka Road Roseville, CA. From Highway 80, exit east on Douglas Blvd. Take a right on Eureka Road. Johnson Ranch Sports Club is on the right about a mile from Douglas Blvd. 

 

Parking: Parking for the visiting team is located directly across the street from the club, at Excelsior Middle School and Lockridge Park. Signs will be posted directing the visiting team to this area. Guests can then reach the pool deck by entering through either the Parking Lot Gate, the gate on Ashland Drive, or the gate on Winger Drive.

Team Areas: We invite the visiting teams to set up in the grassy area just outside the pool gate near the northern tennis courts on the right side of the path (closest to the clubhouse). . Please see the attached pool diagram for further information.

Key Times: The following key times pertain to the meet:
 
6:00am Gates are unlocked
6:30-7:00  Check-in for home team
7:00-7:40 JRSC Barracudas Warm-ups
7:40-8:20 Visiting Team Warm-ups
7:50- 8:05 Meet Officials Meeting at Ops Table
8:05  JRSC Team Cheer
8:15  First shift timers report
8:20  Relay events 1-3 report to lanes
8:25 Timer Tests
8:25 Event 1 arrives behind blocks
8:28 National Anthem
8:30 Meet commences
 

Entries:

  • IM & Long free: We prefer to limit the IM and long free to 2 heats for most age groups, but have some flexibility.    Please contact our computer coordinator in advance if you would like more than 8 entries in a given age group
  • Medley Relay: 1 heat per age group
  • Free Relays: Multiple heats as needed
  • Please submit the Meet Manager entry files to our Johnson Ranch Computer Coordinator and  League Rep, no later than 6pm Thursday before the Saturday meet. Email them to: [email protected] & [email protected]

Volunteer Positions Needed:

  • Timers: Visiting teams should provide 8 timers for each timing shift (total of 2 shifts); we change shifts at the midway point of the meet (after backstroke)
  • Ready Bench: 2 ready bench volunteers for each shift (total of 2 shifts)
  • Ribbon Operations: At least one per shift

Food & Beverage: Our snack bar will be providing breakfast burritos and other snacks in the morning, followed by hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch.  Please ask families to bring cash for the snack bar.

June 12th Meet: For our first home meet, we will also have SnowyKing SnoCones and Jolyn Swim and Activewear present on deck. We are also running a raffle with some fun prizes, so if anyone wants to participate, come with small bills!
