Hi Barracudas!

Another great week of practice! I have heard from your coaches that they are seeing impressive improvement by everyone on the team. Let’s keep doing our personal best, everyday!

Last week’s Swimmers of the Week:

  • 6/u Clementine Mitchell
  • 7/8 Lucca Smith
  • 9/10 Andrew Donnelly
  • 11/12 Zoe Kung
  • 13+  Sophie Wright

Congratulations to you all! I also want to mention that Ellie Huffine was the 6/u SoW the previous week.

At this time, I’d like to remind returning swimmers as well as alert new swimmers to the team that the Barracudas have a locker room and bathroom etiquette policy. It is on the team’s website and I have copied it here:

SWIM TEAM LOCKER ROOM ETIQUETTE

We have the privilege of swimming at JRRC!

Remember that we share this club with other adult members who have a right to use the showers/locker room in good condition and in a calm environment.

Conduct yourselves appropriately and always treat the club and its members with respect.

  • Limit your shower to 5 minutes!
  • Absolutely NO misuse of soaps, lotions, etc.
  • NO towel snapping or any other horseplay at all.
  • NO use of cell phones in locker rooms for any reason.
  • Keep the noise level down and conversations appropriate.  Socialize on the pool deck or in the Kid’s Club.
  • Keep your swim bag/gear tidy and do not spread out all over the locker room.
  • Place ALL used club towels in bins in the locker room or at the front desk.  Do not leave towels on floor or benches.

Failure to adhere to the above rules may result in a loss of privileges, suspension and/or expulsion from the team.  Please do your part!

We have had a few incidents this past week involving soap being dispensed on the floors in both the locker rooms and bathrooms. Please always adhere to our team’s etiquette policy.

We are just short of two weeks away from our team’s Time Trials on May 15th. Let’s get ready for this by attending practice, listening to your coaches, and always doing your best! GO BARRACUDAS!!

See you on deck,

Coach Andy
