Johnson Ranch Barracudas 2023 Spring Clinics

Please note: By league rules, a swimmer will be ruled ineligible to swim with the Barracudas if it’s found they:

• Participate in more than 3 clinics within a week -or-
• Received more than 60 minutes of coaching in a day -or-
• Swam more than 50 yards without stopping for instruction during our Spring Clinic.

 

Pricing:

Clinic's run Monday through Thursday

Level 1 Swimmers: $28 per week
Level 2-4 Swimmers: $39 per week

What level would be best for your swimmer?

• Level 1 sessions are primarily 5–6-year-olds and any beginner 7–8-year-olds (Level 1 will ONLY focus on Backstroke and Freestyle all 4 weeks)
• Level 2 sessions are for swimmers who have not yet mastered the basic rhythm of all strokes. Age of swimmers range from 7-10 years old
• Level 3 session is for more experienced swimmers who have mastered every stroke rhythm and would like to perfect their technique. Age will range from 8-12 years old
• Level 4 session is for more experienced swimmers who have mastered every stroke rhythm and would like to perfect their technique. Age will range from 12-18 years old

Clinic Schedule (you may attend any 3 of the 4 days offered per each week)

Week 1- March 6th- 9th Freestyle Focus

Week 2- March 13th- 16th Backstroke Focus

Week 3- March 20th – 23rd Butterfly Focus

Week 4- March 27th- 30th   Breaststroke Focus

Additional Information

Equipment for swimmers to bring to clinics DAILY

·       Fins (fins can be ordered here)

·       Goggles

·       Swim Cap (optional)

·       Practice Suit 

·       Water Bottle

·       Towel (club has towels for swimmers)

·       Hand Paddles (High School Swimmers Only)

​All swimmers MUST be family members of the Johnson Ranch Sports Club to participate in clinics. Please go to https://www.sparetimesportsclubs.com/clubs/johnson-ranch/ or call 916-782-2600 to establish membership.

 

If you are a new swimmer to Barradudas, a swim assessment is required for clinics.  This will take place on Saturday 3/4.  Age 6 and under from 12-1pm, age 7-8 1-2pm, and age 9 and up 1:30-2:30pm. Please reach out if you are unable to make this date/time.
