2022 Wrap Up / 2023 Look Ahead

 

Congratulations and Thank you to all of your swimmers and divers for a great UNDEFEATED season.  It's always amazing to see the improvements in personal best from the beginning of the season to the end. Make sure you visit the 2022 PHOTO tab at lmtswim.com.  Traci has finished uploading photo's for the season and they are fantastic!!  

 

Ribbons are in the office. Stop by anytime and look for the baggie with your name on it. 

 

Thank you parents for volunteering throughout the season.  We cannot do this without all of you!! With that being said, below are some wrap up items to keep in mind as we close out this season and prepare for the 2023 season.  

 

Looking Ahead to 2023 

 

CROCS/GATORS

We are excited to announce that we will be going back to two teams next season.  The teams will be Gators and Crocs.  We have so many amazing kids and families that we are confident we can create two strong teams for 2023.  Ideally, we would like the Gators in the white division and the Crocs in the Blue Division. The idea is the have the year round swimmers and more competitive swimmers on the Gators in a slightly more competitive division and the second team in a slightly less competitive division. It makes the season alot more fun and exciting for all the kids no matter what level they are in swim.  Both teams will practice together as though they are one team.  The only difference is the meet schedule.  We want to give all of our swimmers a chance to swim officially and generate points for our team. We do not want to stress anyone out with this news.  We know that there will be requests to place families together.  We know some will feel strongly about being on a specific team.  When the time comes we will make it work!! Two teams will make for faster more enjoyable meets. 

 

Practice Schedule 

We are going to take a step back and review the morning practice schedule for next season.  We may send out a google form to gather some parent information and opinions in the coming months to see what is important to everyone. Keep and eye out.

We will also need to fill some non executive board positions once the executive board is finalized.  If anyone is opposed to the current nominee's please reach out by Wednesday 8/10/2022.  If you would like to take the position of Treasury or have questions on the position please reach out ASAP!!

 

Before we finish I would like to take a second to thank Charlene Lawton who has served on the Board as Vice President for may years.  Charlene has been to wealth of knowledge, ray of sunshine and amazing resource to me especially.  Charlene, we will miss you and we hope you will be back to help out from time to time next season!!
