If you have not already done so, you may now remove your tie-dyed item from the plastic bag. Remove the rubber bands, rinse thoroughly in cold water, and then launder separately in mild detergent and cold water, preferably for the next 2 -3 washings. This is permanent dye, so the minute it hit the fabric, it was there to stay, so if you already washed it, no worries! Keeping it in the bag just "sets" the dye a little bit more.
