Welcome to the Darnestown Swim and Raquet Club Electronic Registration platform for our upcoming swim season!   You can sign up for Swim Team, Preteam and Group lessons using this format.  The process is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you easily declare for swim meets, sign-up for jobs, see your children's swim times histories, maintain your own contact information, and more.

There is a $15 administrative fee added to each registration so please register your entire family together to avoid multiple registration charges.  Please note that payment is by credit card only via the online registration.  A Demon t-shirt will be part of your registration fee this year  You must register by 5/31/23 to recieve the t-shirt.

Swim team candidates will be evaluated by Coach Tozzi the first week of swim practice at the Darnetown pool. Regular swim team members must be pool members, be able to swim the length of the pool (25 meters) without any assistance using side breathing.  Swimmers will receive instruction in all four strokes - freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breast. Coaches will instruct swimmers on flip turns, diving and racing starts in preparation for swim meets. Swim team members must be no older than 18 years old on June 1st.

Those who are not on the swim team can participate on the preteam or take group lessons at the pool, both of which begin after the end of the school year and run for just over one month.  Preteam members must be able to swim across the shallow end of the pool using freestyle, face in the water, without using the dog paddle.  Coaches will focus preteam swimmers on swimming freestyle with rotary breathing, swimming 25 meters (one length of the pool), backstroke, and learning how to dive into the pool.  Once students pass the skills in these levels, they are encouraged, but not required, to enter swim meets.

Swimmers not yet ready for preteam are still able to take group lessons at the pool and, possibly, advance to the preteam by the end of the season.  For additional comprehensive information about the group lessons the club offers, please review the information contained in the pull down tab entitled "Group Lessons and Private Lessons."  Rest assured that every swimmer who would like to swim will be accomodated but Coach Pat may request they start off in a different level based on their swimming ability.  We look forward to having you join our teams and are excited for another great season!  Stay tuned for additional information in the coming weeks.
