Kingfish Pre-Season Event, March 28th - Germantown Pool - CANCELLED
Thank you for signing up for our pre season event at the Germantown pool.  As many of you know, the Germantown pool is now closed due to the extenuating circumstances.  The re-open date for the pool is fluid, at best.  As a result, we will be cancelling the event.

Personalized Kingfish Swim Caps
We are collecting requests for personalized, silicone swim caps.  If you would like a personalized cap for your swimmer, please use the Google spreadsheet (below) to place your order.  For any questions, please contact Melissa Doh melissadoh@gmail.com.  Pricing for caps will be determined depending on the quantity ordered.  We will keep you updated regarding pricing.  The deadline for ordering personalized caps is May 7th.

Swimsuits and Jammers
There will be no change to our Kingfish swimsuits for the 2020 season, thus using the same swimsuits as last summer.  Our suit vendor will be available at the Clubhouse on Registration Day (May 9th) to take orders and assist with sizing.

Certified Officials Needed:  Stroke & Turn, Starters and Referees
Each year we need to ensure that we have enough certified Stroke & Turn, Starter, and Referee officials on our team to run our meets.  This year, quite a number of our parents are up for re-certification, which happens every two years.  We also need some new parents to help the team by becoming certified.  A great place to start is by becoming a Stroke & Turn official.  If you are already a Stroke & Turn official, please consider getting certified for Starter and/or Referee.  Each of these positions requires one, 3 hour training session.   The sessions are held on evenings and weekends throughout the county in May and June and there is no cost to attend.   Volunteer hours will be awarded for shadowing our experienced officials to help you learn the role.   We need several more Kingfish parents to become certified for this summer.  You can see the upcoming training sessions and learn more by going to: http://www.mcsl.org/Officials.aspx.   Please feel free to reach out to Mia Joelsson, Volunteer Coordinator, at mia@djoelsson.com with any questions or to discuss your plans to get certified for the summer.

Calling All Sponsors
Do you own a local business? Have you ever considered donating to the Kingfish to be a sponsor? There are multiple levels of sponsorship starting as low as $100.  If you are interested, please reach out to Annie Hunte at annehunte5@gmail.com.

Banquet Planner
We are looking for a parent (or group of parents) who would like to step forward and plan, organize, and deliver the Summer 2020 Kingfish banquet.  No prior banquet planning experience required.  Please submit your resume (actually a simple email saying “hey, I’m interested” would work) to Yolanda Goettsch (demiayo2@yahoo.com).
