Allstars

The Individual Allstar meet will be held this Saturday, July 31st at the Rockville Swim & Fitness Center. The meet begins at 8:00 a.m.  A little background, the MCSL sets Allstar Nominating Times for the events that make up a summer dual “A” meet.  At the end of the summer season, the top 16 swimmers plus 3 alternates, in each event, Boys and Girls, are invited to swim in the MCSL Individual Allstar Meet.  Swimmers are allowed to swim in two events.  Congratulations to the following Kingfish:  Micah Bess, Ethan Kiang, Harrison Quinn, Logan Sumrow, Chase Taylor, Anya Goettsch, Lukas Shafer, Ainsley Taylor, Jamie Anderson, Kasey Anderson, Aidan Goettsch, Caitlin Hofmann, Pierre Zeineddin.

And congratulations to all the Kingfish who achieved an Allstar time in your events during Summer 2021.

End of Season Banquet

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped set up, take down, MC, salute, and celebrate our Kingfish at our end of season banquet.  And thank you to Jennifer Ellington for coordinating the effort – job well done.  A great time was had by all – and no rain!

Trophies and Ribbons

For those who did not attend the banquet and did not receive their participation trophy, please go to the box by the Kingfish family folders on the lower level of the Clubhouse.  Your trophy awaits.

This would also be a good time to clean out those family folders, taking one last look to make sure you did not leave behind any ribbons.

Kingfish Board and Key Volunteers – Vacancies

As mentioned at the banquet, we will have one vacancy on the Kingfish Board and one Key Volunteer position open as of October 2021.  The Board position is the B Rep and the Key Volunteer position is Communications.  If you are interested in taking on either of these jobs, please reach out to either Yolanda Goettsch ([email protected]) or Christy Shafer ([email protected]).

End of Season Survey

In early August you will receive an email with a link to a season ending Survey.  The Kingfish Board works hard to ensure a positive experience for Kingfish swimmers and parents.  As we look to plans for 2022 we would appreciate your feedback.

Please take a few minutes and fill out the survey.

Winter Swimming Options

For those who may be interested in Winter swimming, we will be posting a list of area clubs to the website on the “Other Documents” tab.
