Photography and Social Media Policy

The Inverness Recreation Club Swim Team (Team) recognizes the prevalence of electronic communication and social media. Given that our athletes use social media as a significant source of information and communication, the Team has established a policy for acceptable use of social media and electronic communication by our athletes and families. This policy is essential for the Team to provide a safe and positive environment for all its athletes, officials, parents, and coaches.

All Team participants agree to be filmed and photographed by the team-approved photographer(s) and videographers, and to allow the right to use names and pictures before, during, or after practices, meets and events on the Team or Inverness Recreation Club website or social media, in public broadcast of the event, and in the season-end slideshow or video.  Parents and guardians of minor swimmers who do not wish their swimmers to participate in interviews or have individual pictures featured on any media should inform the Team Reps via email at [email protected].

In keeping with MCSL and USA Swimming policies, no photographs will be taken from behind the starting end of the pool at the start of a race or exhibit a child climbing out of the swimming pool.

Photographs should not be taken in locker‐rooms or bathrooms.
