2020 Coaching Staff
Brian Kilner Head Coach

Brian is in his second year as head coach of the Nessies.  Brian previously served as a junior coach, assistant coach, and assistant head coach for the Nessies and has coordinated the private lessons program at Inverness for the past four years.  Additionally, Brian swam for the Nessies for fourteen summers.

Brian graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 2016, where he rowed on the crew team all four years.  Brian will graduate from The University of Scranton in May with degrees in Biochemistry, Environmental Science, and Philosophy. Brian plans to attend graduate school for a Master’s in Chemistry and ultimately wants to teach high school science for a career.

Brian looks forward to bringing his competitive and fun spirit to the Nessies this summer and hopes to make this summer memorable and fun for swimmers of all ages!

Julie Fan Assistant Coach

Julie Fan is will be a rising Senior at Winston Churchill High School this summer, and is excited to join the Nessies for her ninth swim season. She swims all year-round on RMSC and had has swam for the WCHS varsity team for three years. She is also a PVS Scholar Athlete and Eastern Zone Sectionals qualifier. Julie looks forward to kicking off another amazing swim season this year with the greatest team in the league, Go Nessies!

Justin Huebl Junior Coach

Justin could not be happier to be returning to the Nessies for his third season, and his first season as a Coach-in-Training. Justin is a rising freshman at Churchill High School. He swims year-round for NCAP and is especially eager to meet the new Nessies.  Justin looks forward to the upcoming season and singing "Icky La Picky Wicky" once again. 

Jerry Ji Junior Coach

Jerry is ecstatic to return to the Inverness Nessies for his third consecutive year after beginning to swimming again at the age of fourteen. Jerry is now a rising junior at the Landon School located in Bethesda, Maryland. He is on the Landon Varsity Swim and Dive team and swims for All Star Aquatics year-round. Jerry is looking forward to an amazing season with the Nessies and interacting with each and every Nessie on the team.

Max Meisel Junior Coach

Max Meisel is extremely excited to come back to the Nessie’s this summer. He is a rising junior at Walt Whitman High School. He swims all year round on All Star Aquatics. Max has been waiting a whole year to come back and support the Nessie’s. He can’t wait to coach and interact with all the Nessie’s!

Elisa is beyond excited to return to the Nessie’s for her second year as a junior coach. She is a rising junior at Winston Churchill High School and a member of the Varsity Swim and Dive team as well as a swimmer for All-Star Aquatics. Elisa is especially excited about meeting the new swimmers and can't wait to coach this summer!

Stephanie Zoltick Junior Coach

Stephanie is excited to return to the pool this year to begin her ninth season as a Nessie and second year as a Junior Coach. Stephanie is a rising junior at Churchill High School, and swims on the Varsity Swim and Dive team. She also swims for RMSC‘s NTG year round. Stephanie looks forward to making many, many more memories this summer with each and every Nessie. 

Charles Denney Coach-in-Training

Charlie is excited to begin his coaching career with the Nessies this upcoming summer as a Coach-in-Training. He is a returning for his ninth year on the Nessies, and has been voted most spirited Nessie and most improved Nessie in the past.  While he now focuses on other sports in the fall and spring, Charlie previously swam year-round with ASA.  He looks forward to helping teach young and new Nessies as well as promoting spirit and continuing the summer hype.
