2022 Coaching Staff
Brian Kilner Head Coach

Summer 2022 will be Brian’s 4th summer as head coach of Inverness and 20th season with the team overall as a swimmer or coach. Brian’s thankful to work at such a great pool with a tremendous coaching staff of Nessies swimmers!

Brian graduated from The University of Scranton in 2020 with degrees in Biochemistry, Environmental Science, and Philosophy. He teaches biology at Gonzaga College High School, his alma mater, where he also moderates the Trivia Club and coaches the swim team. Brian also coaches the junior and advanced junior groups at RMSC-KSAC. Although he loves teaching, nothing beats summer swim with the Nessies!

Elisa is beyond excited to return to the Nessies for her fourth year as a coach and last year as a Nessie swimmer. She is a senior at Winston Churchill High School and a member of the Varsity Swim and Dive team. Elisa is looking forward to an amazing season and is especially excited about meeting the new swimmers!

Stephanie Zoltick Assistant Head Coach

Stephanie is excited to return to the pool this year to begin her thirteenth and final season as a Nessie swimmer and fourth as a coach. Stephanie recently graduated from Winston Churchill High School and will be attending Dartmouth College with the intent to major in Neuroscience in the fall. She swam for Churchill’s Varsity Swim and Dive team as well as RMSC‘s NTG group throughout high school. Stephanie looks forward to making her last season as a swimmer the best season yet!

Charles Denney Assistant Coach

Charlie is excited to return for his third year coaching with the Nessies this summer as an Assistant Coach. He is a returning for his 11th year on the Nessies, and has been voted most spirited Nessie and most improved Nessie in the past. Charlie previously swam year-round with ASA.  He looks forward to helping teach young and new Nessies as well as promoting spirit and continuing the summer hype.

Alexia-Maria Sandonas Assistant Coach

Alexia is super excited to return to Inverness for her 3rd year as a coach and 8th year as a Nessie. She is a sophomore at the Academy of the Holy Cross and will be starting her junior year in 2022. Alexia swims for the varsity swim and dive team at Holy Cross. She previously swam at ASA year round for 7 years. She is looking forward to a great season and spending time with the team!

Jordan de Souza Junior Coach

Jordan is so excited for her 11th season as a Nessie swimmer and 1st season coaching. She is a rising junior at Churchill high school and is on the Churchill varsity swim and dive team. She is looking forward to making new memories and having an amazing season.

Adam Specht Junior Coach

Summer 2022 will be Adam’s first year on the Nessie’s coaching staff, but 8th year as a Nessie. He is a rising senior at Bullis and a member of their Varsity Swim and Dive Team. Adam also previously swam year round for ASA. Many of you and/or your children may know him as the “Skinny Bones”.

He looks forward to a great season filled with wins!

Julio Cupe Coach-in-Training

Julio is looking forward to his 10th year as a Nessie and his second year as a Nessie Coach-in-Training. Julio swims year round for RMSC and has since 2015.  He is a rising freshman at Winston Churchill High School.  He enjoys being part of MCYO where he plays the cello with the Young Artist Orchestra . He is very excited for this summer and for all the fun times with the Nessies while helping with practices and during meets as a coach in training, he looks forward to help young Nessies to become strong swimmers.

Paige de Souza Coach-in-Training

Paige is excited for her 9th season with the Nessies, and first year as a coach-in-training. Paige will be a rising freshman at Churchill High School. She also swims for RMSC's NDG year round. Paige is looking forward to making many more memories with the other coaches and swimmers this summer. 

Elaine Denney Coach-in-Training

Elaine is so excited for her 11th year with the Nessies, and to be coming back as a coach-in-training. Next year she will be a freshman at Churchill High School, but until then she is looking forward to making many more amazing memories with the Nessies over the summer. 

Laila Specht Coach-in-Training

Laila excited for her 8th season as a Nessie and to be returning as a coach in training. Next year she will be a freshman at Churchill High School. She also swims for RMSC in the winter. Laila is looking forward to making many new memories this summer with the swimmers and coaches.
