Brian Kilner Head Coach

Brian is beyond excited to return to Inverness in his fifth season as a coach in his new position as head coach.  Brian previously served as a junior coach, assistant coach, and assistant head coach for the Nessies and has coordinated the private lessons program at Inverness for the past three years.  Additionally, Brian swam for the Nessies for fourteen years.

Brian graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 2016, where he rowed on the crew team all four years.  He is now a junior at The University of Scranton in Pennsylvania where he majors in biochemistry, environmental science, and philosophy with the goal ultimately of teaching high school science and coaching for a career.  

Brian looks forward to bringing his competitive and fun spirit to the Nessies this summer and hopes to make this summer memorable and fun for swimmers of all ages.  

Julie Fan Assistant Coach

Julie Fan is excited to be an assistant coach this summer for the Nessies. This is her fifth summer swimming for IRC and she can’t wait to start another amazing season. She is a sophomore who swims on the varsity Winston Churchill swim and dive team and on RMSC year round. She looks forward to making lasting memories this summer and working with the younger Nessies to achieve their best!

Laura Sneller Junior Coach

Laura Sneller is very excited to be a Junior Coach for the Inverness Nessies. She has been swimming for Inverness for 13 years.  Inverness is like a second home to her. She previously served as an Assistant Clerk of Course last summer during the meets and has helped with spirit during her time on the team

She is currently a senior at Winston Churchill High School, where she is a captain for the Cross Country and Track teams. She plans on majoring in Biological Sciences and is interested in immunology with a track in pre-med.   She will likely attend the University of Maryland, College Park.

Laura loves being a part of the Inverness community and looks forward to instilling fun and spirit this summer to the swim team.


Daniel Nusraty Junior Coach

Daniel is looking forward to spending his eighth season swimming for the Nessies as well as returning to the Inverness coaching staff after previously being a junior coach on the team. Daniel currently attends Winston Churchill High School, where he is a Sophomore on the varsity track and cross-country teams. Daniel enjoys the water so much, he joined the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Program. Daniel is extremely excited to coach, practice, and most importantly have fun with all of his fellow Nessies this upcoming season.

Elisa Zoltick Junior Coach

Elisa is very excited for being a junior coach this year for the Nessie’s. This is her 8th year swimming for Inverness and she looks forward to it every summer. She swims for Winston Churchill high school and RMSC year round. She’s especially excited for meeting the new Nessie’s and working with them. Elisa can’t wait to coach and work with the younger kids this summer!


Stephanie Zoltick Junior Coach

Stephanie is so excited to return to Inverness to begin her eighth season swimming for the Nessies. Stephanie is currently a freshman at Churchill High School. She swims on the Varsity Swim and Dive team along with her year round RMSC practices. Stephanie looks forward to having loads of fun and making many, many more memories this summer as a junior coach for Inverness.


Justin Huebl Coach-in-Training

Justin could not be happier to be returning to the Nessies for his third season, and his first season as a Coach-in-Training. Justin is a rising freshman at Churchill High School. He swims year-round for NCAP and is especially eager to meet the new Nessies.  Justin looks forward to the upcoming season and singing "Icky La Picky Wicky" once again. 

Maya Tondravi Honorary Assistant Coach

Maya is eager to greet all the returning Nessies and to welcome the new ones in her role as Honorary Assistant Coach this summer. This will be Maya’s twelfth summer with the Nessies, and her fifth season coaching. She also coached at the Sunday swim clinic for RMSC last year. Maya swims year round with the RMSC Advanced Seniors and she just finished her eleventh season. In addition, she swam on the Churchill varsity swim and dive team all four years, competed in Metros, Divisionals, Regionals, and States, and was team captain this year. 

Maya plans to study biology and psychology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. 

Maya’s favorite part of summer swimming is the team spirit, and she looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm. 

NOTE: While Maya was planning to be a full time coach, she was awarded a college scholarship involving a summer internship and now will be available on a limited basis to assist with the team.   Therefore, she has assumed the role of "Honorary Assistant Coach," which recognizes her years of involvement and significant contributions to the team through the years.
