Diving: Well Worthy

EXCITING NEWS!!  Mikayla McQueeney broke the 10 & under girls diving team record, which has been standing for 35 years!  Great way to start the season.  We had several other great accomplishments at our first diving meet against High Point.  Here are some highlights:

  • Grace Everhart, Paige Hendricks, Kaylyn McQueeney, Stella Schleis and Izzy Schiefelbein dove in their first ever meet and did a great job on all their new dives!!
  • Returning divers trying new dives at this met for the first time:
    • CiCi Howe, Mya Howe, and Josette Rossing front one and a half
    • Grace Everhart front flip
    • Trinity McNall back one and a half with a half twist
    • Katoa Bogileka inward flip
  • This was a very close meet with a final score of High Point 64, Monona 62!

FRESH FRUIT FRIDAY – Thank you to the Huff family for volunteering to bring fruit at the end of practice on Friday, June 21st.  There are still open dates this season – June 28th, July 5th, July 12th, and July 19th.  Email Coach Wendy if you would like to bring fruit one Friday morning for the divers.

Swim Notes
Great job at our first meet! Lots of fast first swims to start the season off strong.

When you sign up to participate in a meet, please add a NOTE if you are NOT able to participate in the relays; free, medley, or both! If you sign up for the meet, we'll assume you're available for all the relays.

At the meet, make sure to check in/out with your coaches upon arrival/before leaving. This helps your coaches confirm relays. If you have signed up for the meet, please SHOW UP, unless you are legitimately ill or have a family emergency.

Kelly can be reached at (309)264-8378 or kchadesh@gmail.com
Be on time and participate in warm ups. Have fun, and SWIM FAST!!

Go MO!
