Diving: Well Worthy

Believe it or not, we have just one week left in the season! It has been an incredible journey watching each diver grown and learn this summer. It has been an absolute pleasure to see so  many accomplish their goals. Just this last week against Ridgewood, we saw Elliot and Olive Cooke competed in their first meet of the season and totally rock! Olivia Payne competed an inward dive successfully, Steven Blew a front double pike beautifully, and Claire Litwicki, Alex Wahe, and Mya Norington making great strides by successfully competing all of their dives. While we lost the overall meet, 82-42, the MOgicians were magnificent!

This week we face Hill Farm on Friday at home! This is the last dual meet of the season. Warm-ups for Monona are 3-4pm and the well belongs to Hill Farm 4-5pm. The meet begins at 5pm. For those not competing in the All City Championships next week, this will be your last meet.

All City Championships are next week on Monday and Tuesday, July 29 & 30! An email was sent on Monday evening with reminders about this meet and the team practice at Ridgewood on Sunday, July 28th at 2PM - 3:30PM. Be sure to check out the All City website. In particular, check out the meet program and note the award winners of this year’s Citizenship award…Monona’s own Tiest Nuon has been chosen to receive this award, which will be presented on Monday during the 11-12 boys awards ceremony! Congratulations and thank you for displaying great citizenship, sportsmanship, and being an all-around great kid!!

Finally, thank you to all the families for contributing each week to the Fresh Fruit Friday. This week, Grant Moreau’s family is providing tasty, healthy treats during the morning practice as we prepare for the end of the season!

Support Second Harvest
Each year, all swim communities in Madison, raise money for the Second Harvest Food Bank. This is a friendly competition between pools, with the winner announced and rewarded at All City.

Please help by contributing directly to Second Harvest on behelf of MO Swim and Dive. The donatation page will be available through he All-City weekend. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Maple Bluff has won 2 years in a row, but we have a team large enough to beat them, if we can get motivated. Many families are in need right here in Madison, let's all get in the spirit and lend a hand.
