Kelly Chadesh Head Swim Coach

Kelly is the current head coach for the boys team at Monona Grove High School and an eighth grade science teacher at Glacier Creek Middle School in Cross Plains. Kelly has 18 years of swim team coaching experience.  She started with the YMCA Swim Team and after graduating Elmhurst College she started coaching the Dunlap High School teams and their club the Dunlap Dolphins near her home town of Peoria, Illinois. After moving to Madison in 2011 she starting coaching the MG Boys Swim team, the MG Girls Swim (3 years) and the Monona Magicians.  She is happily married to her husband Alex (aka the Lion) Chadesh and recently had twins Brynn & Logan.

Wendy McNall Head Dive Coach

Wendy is excited about joining the Monona Swimming and Diving community as head Dive coach this summer! Wendy has spent a lifetime around the pool both in the water and on deck since the age of 6. She swam competitively through high school in the Baltimore, MD area and then attended the University of North Carolina where she earned All-American status 4 times as a collegiate swimmer. She also dove from the age of 8 through her high school years in Maryland and even in one collegiate meet as a Tarheel. Wendy has coached swimming at the high school, club, and collegiate levels, but is new to the diving coaching world and is excited about sharing her knowledge and experience with the Monona Divers. Wendy is a licensed physical therapist and the program director of the PTA program at Madison College during the academic year. She brings a wealth of knowledge about injury prevention, cross training, and the importance of core conditioning. She is grateful for the support of her husband Mark and their two children, Sierra and Trinity.

Bob Ohly Assistant Dive Coach

Bob is new to Monona this season and is excited to share his knowledge of diving with the Monona Swimming and Diving team!  Bob dove competitively for the Minot High School in North Dakota.  He won the North Dakota State Championship 3 years in a row and set the state record his senior year that stood for 20+ years.  Bob has 3 children and lives in Cottage Grove.  He works as an IT Finance Manager for QBE Insurance in Sun Prairie

Jen Johnson Swim Coach: Unified Group

Jen began swimming at the age of seven for the Chippewa Falls YMCA. She swam for the next 12 years for the Chippewa and Eau Claire YMCA. After high school, she swam four years at Northern Illinois University. She was mainly a distance swimmer and occasionally did backstroke. After retiring from swimming she greatly missed the sport and began coaching the pre swim team clinics in Aurora, Illinois until she moved to Madison. At that point she started coaching for Sun Prairie Piranhas in the Tri-County League in 2003. In 2004, both her and her husband began coaching the Men’s Swim Team at Madison East High School. She coached both teams until starting a family in 2006. Jen has been a teacher for the past 15 years and is currently a special education teacher at Glacial Drumlin Middle School in Cottage Grove. In 2013, she started a new role in swimming as a swim parent. She is now hoping to give back to the sport of swimming as it had provided so many opportunities. Jen is excited to continue working with the MO coaching staff.

Liz Hrodey Swim Coach: 15-18

Liz Hrodey and her husband (Andy), children (AJ and Allie) live in Monona. Liz is looking forward to working with our 15-18 swimmers this summer. Liz has been an educator for 17 years at the high school level. She has coached basketball, swimming, softball, and soccer at multiple youth levels. Liz enjoys seeing those involved in activities grow, learn, experience, and develop a passion for something they can use throughout their life. As a former swimmer, college athlete, and ocean lifeguard (East Coast), Liz knows it takes time to develop the necessary skills to achieve at high levels. Liz's goal for our swimmers is to help them gain confidence in themselves and their swimming skills, while having a positive summer swim team experience.

Jennifer Keller Swim Coach: 9-10, 13-14

This is Jennifers 3rd season coaching for MO. She swam for MO for 13 years and loved every minute of it! Jennifer currently goes to school at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where she studies elementary education and swims! She has also swam for Monona Grove Girls Swim and Dive, BAC and YDC. She cannot wait for another magical season of MO swimming and diving! Go Magicians!

Chris Tatsuguchi Swim Coach: 13-14

Chris is currently the assistant coach for the boys and girls swim teams at Monona Grove High School and a scientist at PPD in Middleton. Chris began swimming in 2002 at the age of 7 for the Blue Devil Swim Club in Gurnee, Illinois and was with the club for 11 years. After high school he attended UW-Madison and graduated in 2016 with a degree in molecular biology and began working at PPD. Chris wanted to get involved with swim coaching with his free time so he joined the coaching staff for the boys team at MGHS that fall. He has been the assistant coach for the boys team for 3 years and the girls team for 1 year. He has also runs the spring stroke clinic for at MGHS for the last 2 years. Chris is looking forward to joining the MO family this summer and working with the 13-14’s.

Erik Doll Swim Coach: 11-12

Going onto his 11th summer on the MO team, Erik has become very talented swimmer. He only likes to swim freestyle, nothing else. He has made many friends around his age throughout this time, and he would like to extend it even further to the younger portion of the team. He is very excited to work with his younger teammates, and he can't wait to meet all of the 11-12's. A Monona Grove High School grad, Erik attends UW-Madison and is studying Finance and Risk Management.

Connor Keith Swim Coach:11-12
Keelin Ricciardi Swim Coach: 9-10, 11-12

Keelin will be a junior at UW Madison studying nutritional sciences and global health. She is from Kenosha Wisconsin and has enjoyed swimming competitively since the age of 8. Her favorite things to swim are breastroke and IM. While she has been coaching for the past 5 years, this is her first year with MO.

Andy White Swim Coach: 9-10

Andy Started swimming at the age of 9 with the former Cherokee swim team. Won All City in 2002 in IM and backstroke. Swam 4 years of high school at Madison East High School. Started coaching the summer after high school with the Sun Prairie Piranhas. Followed by assistant coaching at East high school in 2006. He took some time away from swimming and moved to NYC. Now he is back in Madison and excited to jump back on the coaching wagon! LETS GO MO!

Lauryn Christianson Swim Coach: 9-10

Lauryn will be a junior at UW-Madison majoring in Education Studies and Political Science. She started swimming for MO at age 7 and continued through high school at Monona Grove. This is her fourth year coaching for MO and her favorite stroke is breaststroke. Lauryn can't wait for another fun summer!

Angelique Steenhagen Swim Coach: 8 & Under, Unified
Jacob Lippiatt Swim Coach: 8 & Under, 15-18

Coach Jacob has been swimming since 2008, when he was seven years old. He’s been a part of many different teams including BAC, MAC, and the MG boys high school team where he helped win 4 state titles. This is Jacob’s 3rd year coaching and hopes to come back as a coach again next year. Because of his love for his 10 & Unders, he plans to study elementary education at Wheaton College in the fall.

Ainsley Parvin Swim Coach: 8 & Under

I will be a Freshman at UW-Madison this fall. This is my 12th year swimming and third year coaching for MO. Despite MO being a big team, I love how connected and supportive everyone is of each other, and it opens you up to the world of swimming! Fun facts: I did love swimming, show choir, and cheese curds!

Jenny Fonner Swim Coach: 8 & Under

Jenny lives in Monona with her husband (Keenan), children (Emersyn, Tate, and Lochlann), and dogs (Baxter and Benson). She is currently a third grade teacher at Winnequah Elementary School in Monona. She has been an educator since graduating from the University of Illinois in 2005. She has taught K-3 and reading K-5 in Illinois, Florida, and Wisconsin. Jenny has been involved with swimming since the age of 5. Her dad started a summer team in her hometown. She swam competitively through high school while also doing basketball and volleyball. Jenny helped her dad coach and then took over the team as head coach for the Tuscola Torpedoes for 6 years before moving to Florida. Jenny is so excited to get back into coaching this summer. She looks forward to sharing her passion for swimming with our younger swimmers, while helping them develop their skills of a sport that is such a big part of Jenny's life. All three of her kids currently swim for BAC and Monona Magicians in the summer.

Cassandra Keller Junior Coach

Coach Cassandra has been swimming with MO since 2006. She began swimming when she was four years old for MGM Aquatics and has also swam for YDC and BAC. She was also a part of the Monona Grove Girls Varsity Swim team all four years, and was a captain as well during her junior and senior years of high school. Cassandra's favorite stroke is, and has always been, backstroke. This is her third year as a junior coach. She will be coaching the 11-12's, second session of 9-10's and the afternoon session of 9-10's. Next school year, Cassandra will be attending UW-La Crosse to study psychology. Her favorite part about MO is watching how much everyone improves throughout the summer and how their hard work pays off.

Hanna Doll Junior Coach

I have been swimming with the Monona Swim and Dive Club since I was 5 years old. This is my second year as a junior coach and I am super excited to have this opportunity and watch these kids grow and improve! Both of my older brothers swam for MO for 13 years and they are coaches as well. Along with Monona Swim and Dive Club, I have swam for MAC and YDC. I am going to be a senior at Monona Grove High School. My favorite part about MO is watching all the fun happen and making memories through the summer. MO has also given me some of my closest friends.

Belle Foley Junior Coach

I am a junior at Monona Grove. I have been on MO since I was 5 years old. I can sing the ABCs backwards. Pretty talented, huh? I have a little brother also on the team. I love all the memories made over my years of swimming and friendships I will have forever. And mostly I love all the little smiling faces every day!

Caleb Jondle Junior Coach

I have been swimming on MO since I was 8 years old. I also swim for Madison Aquatic Club (MAC). My favorite events are the 500, 1000, and mile freestyle and the 200 butterfly. I am 15 years old and a freshman at Monona Grove High School, where I am a part of the swim team. Last year, I volunteer coached the Unified swim group, and I am very excited to junior coach the Unified and 8&Under swim groups.

Hunter Harried Junior Coach

This year I will be graduating from Madison Lafollette and plan to attend Madison College in the fall studying Culinary Arts. This will be my 6th year swimming for the Monona Swim Team. The Monona Swim Team has been a really great part of my summers because of the coaches and friendships I have made. I am excited to begin helping others make swimming a fun part of their summer as well.

Alexander Nelson Junior Coach

This is my first year coaching MO and my second year swimming for MO. I'm a sophomore at Monona Grove High School. I swim the 50 & 100 Breast for the MG Swim Team.

Jonah Elfers Junior Coach

Hi! My name is Jonah Elfers. I am 15 years old and I started MO when I was 10 years old. I am a freshman at Monona Grove High School. Some of my favorite events are 50/100 free, 100 butterfly, and 100 backstroke.

Eli Kuzma Junior Coach

I have been swimming with MO for 9 yrs (10 yrs, if you count the year right after kindergarten, which my parents affectionately refer to as "trying not to drown team," which really lasted only three weeks. I've improved since then.), Madison Aquatic Club for 3 yrs, and the MG High School Boys Team this past year. I'll be a sophomore at MG, and besides swimming, I play trombone in the school band, study classical piano, sing with Madison Youth Choir, and enjoy visual art. I look forward to helping the next generation of little swimmers be the best they can be, both in and out of the pool.

Trinity McNall Junior Dive Coach

Trinity has been part of the Monona diving program for six years as a diver and mentor.  She is the reigning WIAA Division 2 State Champion for diving and was named Diver of the Year by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (WISCA) for 2018-19.  She is a two-time All-City Champion for the 13-14 age group and placed 3rd last year for the 15-18 age group as a 15-year-old.  She served as a mentor last summer and is excited to be junior coaching this summer!
