Champs & All Stars Meets

Champs Meet (Review the 2022 Champs PacketChamps PresentationIVC Campus Map, and Pool Map)

The Championship Meet (or "Champs" as you will hear people call it) is held the last day of the season at Indian Valley College in Novato.

It is a full day event and all teams in the Marin Swim League compete. The meet is broken into two parts:

  • The morning session runs from 7:30 AM until about 12:00 PM and is for 10 & Unders.

  • The afternoon session runs from 2:00 PM until about 6:00 PM and is for 11 & Ups.

Swimmers do not need to qualify for Champs. Anyone is welcome. You sign up for events for Champs just like you do for any other swim meet.

Awards are given out to swimmers who place 1st through 16th overall in an event. Medals are awarded to places 1-8 and ribbons to places 9-19. These swimmers earn points for their team and at the end of the day the team with the highest number of points wins a trophy.

Awards won at Champs are available at Champs Dinner on the day after the Champs Meet.

All Sea Lion families are invited to come and celebrate the end of the season at the Champs dinner.

All Stars Meet (Click here for the All Stars 2022 Fact Sheet)

All Stars is a league-wide system of recognizing and rewarding swimmers for achieving designated qualification times.

Swimmers who achieve the designated qualification time in an event are invited to attend the All Star meet which takes place in June each year. Swimmers may qualify in up to 5 events, but may only swim in 3 individual events at the meet.

When a swimmer achieves an All Star time during a meet, an “a” is noted in the meet results.

You sign up for events at All Stars just as you do for any other swim meet on our website.
