Weekly Update - Opening Weekend

Ashbourne Swim Club

Hello Members!!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this weekend go so smoothly.  A few little things to work out but we hope this is a good indicator of things to come this summer.

We will try to post a news article on the website early each week that gives some friendly reminders as well as highlight upcoming events.  As we build out the schedule for summer events, they will be added to the calendar and commuicated.

Friendly Reminders

There is no glass allowed on pool grounds.  That includes, but is not limited to, bottles, tumblers, pint glasses, corning wear, glass dressing bottles, or anything that could shatter when it hits the ground.  In addition to the obivous danger of somone stepping on broken glass, glass in the actual pool is a huge problem possibly leading to emptying the pool to avoid an injury or damaging the filter/pump.

There is no smoking inside the fence.  There is a smoking bench out past the basketball court.  We will be adding a receptacle there for cigarette butts.  This includes e-cigarettes and vaping.  Also, please do not discard your cigarette butts in the parking lot.  Help us keep the grounds clean.

Swim Team
Practice has started but it's not too late to join.  Please email the swim team at [email protected] or attend a practice or see the bulletin board at the pool for info or see the website for more info.

Special Events
Tube Night - Saturday June 1 from 6:00-7:30 PM
BYOT!  Bring your own reasonably sized tube.  For safety purposes, the guards need to be able to see the bottom of the pool, so if your tube is too big or potentially dangerous, you may be asked to not use it.  Check with a guard or the manager before hand.

Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2 - noon-8:00pm
