Rio Del Oro Championship Invitational

As we close out our swim season this year, we look to end on a high note! With the current public health climate, our normal NCSL Championships will not take place this year. Instead we will be participating as a team in a Championship style invitational at Rio Del Oro starting on July 24th.

This will be similar to time trials with participants swimming every event, however there will not be a finals heat at the end, and each race will be the last, so let’s leave it in the pool!

Important information regarding this meet:

  1. ALL swimmers who would like to participate in the invitational will have to OPT-IN. You will NOT automatically be selected to participate. Please click here for instructions on how to OPT-IN for this meet. The deadline to OPT-IN will be Friday, 7/9.

  2. If you feel strongly about NOT swimming in an event please indicate such in the comments field.

  3. At this point the meet is set for Saturday, July 24th. If participation is high with many swimmers/teams participating, it will move to a two-day event, the 24th and the 25th. Swimmers will have to OPT-IN for any days that they are available.

  4. There is a cost per swimmer, however, the team has decided to cover this cost as it’s been such a unique year, so please make sure if you OPT-IN that you attend the meet.

Be on the look-out for additional meet details as they become available.

In addition, we will be closing out our season with our team awards. This year they will be held on Friday, July 23rd under the big oak tree in the front of the pool. We will be celebrating our swimmers and team as well as gearing up for the Rio Invitational. Stay tuned for more information about awards night in the coming weeks.

It has been such a fast and fun swim season, let’s close it out with our best times yet!
