Tomorrow, June 1 - Meet the Coach and Swim-a-Thon!

Tomorrow we welcome our new Head Coach, Maxx Hansen, to the deck! Come meet him while your swimmer gets their Swim-a-Thon laps in! Plan to arrive and leave at your regular time.
Please let us know that your swimmer will be participating tomorrow, and sign up for a volunteer shift by using the Job SignUp and Edit Commitment buttons for the Swim-a-Thon event found on this page. Download the Swim-a-Thon pledge form here.
Help us raise $7,000 for our new scoreboard and encourage your swimmer to add as many laps as they can to our 8,000 lap goal.
About Maxx
Maxx Hansen swam for 15 years, first with the Sacramento Stingrays and then for the Spare Time Aquatics Sharks. He competed for McClatchy High School and was a part of their first-ever State Championship Team. Maxx was a single-time NFHS & CIF All-American and still holds the 100 breaststroke and 200 Medley relay records. After high school, Maxx went on to swim for American River College for two years and was a 5-time CCCAA All-American and multi-time State Finalist.
Maxx began coaching at 17 years of age and has coached the Sacramento Stingrays, Elk Grove Piranhas, Spare Time Aquatics Sharks, and for McClatchy High School, Mira Loma High School, and American River College, where he was also a recruiter.
Maxx's philosophy for coaching is to build a team dynamic and a good technical foundation in every swimmer. Nothing gets you through a race better than cheering teammates and good muscle memory.
