Jacob Ball Head Coach

Coach Jake Ball is excited for his first season as the Head Coach at Highlands. Jake was the Highlands Assistant Head Coach for the 2022 season. Jake has been involved with competitive swimming for 18 years and coaching for 8. In high school, Jake coached in the Rappahannock Swim League, guiding both the Woodland Wahoos and Regency Riptide to their respective division titles. Jake attended and swam for Denison University in Ohio where he graduated in 2019 with a degree in Environmental Studies and Geosciences. During the summers, Jake worked with the Dublin Dolphins where they went on to win the 2017 and 2018 league championship titles. After graduation, Jake continued his academics and swimming at George Mason University where he graduated with a Masters Certificate in GIS in 2021. Jake was previously the head coach for Fort Myer Swim Team for the 2020 season before moving to Shark Tank Racing Squad. Currently, he coaches for Marymount University and NCAP Marymount where he works with the Silver and Gold groups. He is a 4-time NCAA All-American, a member of the 2016 and 2018 NCAA Championship Teams, a member of the 2020 Atlantic-10 Championship Team, as well as a 2020 Olympic Trials Finalist in the 100 Breaststroke (Wave 1).


Maggie Campion Assistant Head Coach

Maggie is excited for another great year at Highlands! She has been coaching for Highlands for eight years. Maggie has experience with all swimmers of all abilities as she coached adaptive swim in the past. She is a junior at James Madison University where she is studying special education and youth justice.

Kelli Morris Larkin Developmental Swim Director

Coach Kelli is the Highlands Developmental Swim Director and Head Technical Coach. Coach Kelli also oversees the Highlands Whompers Program. Kelli is a longtime NVSL and USS swim coach and current Operations Manager of The Machine Performance Center (Machine Aquatics’ swim school). Kelli is also a trained educator and mother of four, including three current or past Highlands swimmers / coaches.
