The Candlelight Hills Cudas is a neighborhood swim team that participates in the Northwest Aquatic League (NWAL). Our team has been swimming since the 1970s. Summer swim team is a great way for kids to learn proper swimming techniques, be with their friends, get some exercise, and compete in a safe environment. The team also brings neighbors together, offering Family Fun Nights at the pool where team members, neighbors, friends, and family can come to the pool, have dinner, and swim once a week during the swim season.
Our team is competitive, winning several division trophies. We regularly send swimmers to invitational meets such as Trinity, Allstars, and Ponderosa. We believe that we are unique in that our team size is large enough to be competitive in our division, but we are still small enough to be able to offer more personalized training.
The goal of our coaches is to teach proper stroke techniques, inspire kids with that competitive spirit, and instill a love of swimming! Our team practices 4 days a week and our coaches are available for private lessons. Our main goal for the swimmers on this team is for them to have fun, build good swim habits, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
