Our Summer 2022 Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Braydon Kime:  I have been swimming for 11 years, I graduated from Centerville High School where I was team captain and a 1x state qualifier. Attends the University of Saint Mary where I swim and major in biology. Also made the All-KCAC (the conference the school is in) second team and was named NAIA All-American. 

Coaches Assistant: Tairyn Vroman: My name is Tairyn Vroman. I go to Bellbrook and I'll be a junior this fall. I swim all year at KCST and my favorite stroke is breaststroke. 

Junior Coach: Emi Sauer. Emi assists the coaches by leading practices for 6U swimmers who are not yet ready to join the others in the lanes for the entire practice time. Emi is a middle schooler at Dayton Regonal STEM School. She has been a memeber of Oak Creek Swim Team since she was 5 years old and she swims year around for Kettering City Swim Team. Emi loves the sport of swimming and her goal is to help small children learn to be safe in the water and foster a love for swimming that will follow them through their entire lives.

Swim Coach Job Description:

We are searching for a reliable, trustworthy Swim Coachs for our Summer Team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing swim techniques and determining skill levels, developing individualized swimming programs, educating swimmers on various techniques and styles, and overseeing training. The coaches will also prepare swimmers for meets.

A successful Swimming Coach should be empathetic, patient, and understand that swimmers have varying abilities. At Oak Creek we place performance over results and we are looking for a coach who will able to motivate and inspire swimmers of all ages and levels.

Swim Coach Responsibilities:

Determining ability and skill level for swimmers from 6 & under to age 18.

Developing and implementing practices that focus on improving technique, stroke placement, speed, and style.

Teaching new swimming styles or strokes to new swimmers.

Using a range of activities to improve water confidence.

Setting training goals and objectives for team as well as individuals.

Teaching and perfecting swimming skills of team members

Ensuring the pool or training area is clean, well-maintained, and free of hazards.

Preparing team and individuals for swim meets

Swimming Coach Requirements:

Head Coach: High School Diploma and extensive knowledge of competitive swimming.   ​​

Assistants: Lifeguard Certification Current

Completed Lindsay's Law and Ohio's Return to Play Concussion Training (available on our website)

First-aid training recommended.

Ability to determine swimming level and analyze techniques.

Strong organizational and management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children of all ages and their parent/guardians.

A positive attitude and willingness to work long hours.
