7.    Meadow Mini Meet Results: GREAT JOB TEAM!!!

8.    OMPA: What to Expect

  • All Marlin-only and Teen-only families are required to sign-up for one OMPA job whether or not you are attending.  (Spirit week jobs do not count as OMPA jobs.)
  • Substitutes can be hired to fulfill this obligation.
  • Please note: As of today, not all jobs have been filled, and not all families have signed up. These jobs need to be filled as part of CCC’s obligation to OMPA (all teams in the Association must fulfill their jobs). Please don’t make us fill your job, then track you down and charge you double after the fact!

2. OMPA Commitment Deadline is Friday, July 15th.     There is no flexibility with this deadline, as all entries are final after that date.

  • If your swimmer IS going to participate, please commit them as soon as possible.
  • If your swimmer is NOT going to participate, we would ask you to please “decline” them.
  • Please be aware that the team gets charged a "splash fee" for every swimmer that participates, so please only commit if you know your kid(s) are going to swim.

3. End-of-Season Mini Marlin Meet and Celebration Friday 7/22!

This is a Not-to-be-Missed special meet for all our Mini Marlins! Come watch your Mini show off the swimming skills they’ve worked so hard on all summer. After the meet there will be an ice cream sundae celebration just for them! Your kids will not want to miss out.  Please RSVP on the team website so we can plan the meet, and order enough ice cream !!

*Mom’s Wellness Morning Sunday 7/24 10am: This special event will feature mimosas and a Mat Pilates class taught by Dina Ricksen. Come get in a workout and some “me time” before OMPA Spirit Week kicks in! Please RSVP on the CCC site now.

*13+ After-Dark Movie Float in Wed 7/20 8pm! : Calling all 13+ swimmers and coaches, please join us at the pool (after it closes) and bring your floaty! We will provide a drink and a treat, and will play a movie while you lounge in the pool. Floaty crocodiles from Buddy Night will be attending. ;)

  • PS: If you have a giant float we can borrow for our amazing teens and coaches, please bring it to the pool! We will take good care of it and return it!

5. THREE MEETS LEFT!!! Friendly Reminders…..

  • Wed 7/13: HOME vs. Miramonte. 5:30 Start (check website for warm up times).  **Able the Taco Guy will be onsite!**
  • Sat 7/16: AWAY vs. Rancho Colorados9:00 am start
    • Please note: Rancho Colorado is a Lafayette pool, located in Burton Valley. More details about this meet will follow later this week.
  • Tuesday 7/19: Intrasquad Meet!!! 5:30 start
    • Intrasquad is our CCC vs. CCC meet, where the coaches divide the team into Orange vs. Black, and the kids swim against each other for bragging rights. It’s fun, it’s fast, and it’s the last chance for POPs this season, so don’t miss out!!!
    • Reminder: There is NO additional intrasquad meet on 7/22. That event has been canceled.

Our Annual Awards Night is always held a few weeks after OMPA, and after the end of the season, to bring the team back together to celebrate all of their many accomplishments and relive the fun of the season even though school has started.  (Also, we need the time to pull together awards and photos)

7. Meadow Mini Meet Results: Great job, CCC!

The CCC 5 to 8 year old's represented the club well at yesterday’s Meadow Mini Meet. We wanted to congratulate the Top 5 finishers in various events at the meet.

  • Alex S. - 2nd Place - Boys 7 Year Old Breast
  • Jara D. - 4th Place - Girls 6 Year Old Fly
  • Braden D. - 4th Place - Boys 7 Year Old Breast
  • Avigail W.- 5thPlace - Girls 5 Year Old Fly
  • Lee M. - 5th Place - Boys 5 Year Old Back

The team finished in 7th place, and scored 151 Points at the meet. Don’t let the 7th place fool you, we tend to have fewer swimmers than the other teams which limits the points we can earn  -- so this might be a new pool record!! A little historical context – the 5 previous Meadow Mini Meet Results are below.

  • 2015 – 8 Points (9th Place)
  • 2016 – 8 points (9th Place)
  • 2017 – 28 points (9th Place)
  • 2018 – 18 Points (9th Place)
  • 2019 – 38 points (9th Place)

Great job swimmers and thank you Coaches!!
