COVID Update

Tim Bowser

We hope this communication finds you healthy and well. We would like to take this opportunity to give you an update on the 2020 season.

Beginning May 1st, Governor DeWine  made the decision to slowly begin opening our economy. While this is great news, we also understand that this plan does not specifically detail whenpools will be allowed to open. With that said, the board is still making preparations to open for the 2020 season, even though we realize the originally scheduled opening day of May 22nd will most likely need to be extended. All necessary pool maintenance and preparations will continue; however, we have decided to wait on filling the pool until we know more.

Because our opening date is unknown, the Early Bird Special pricing is now extended until the day before the pool opens. We will keep you all posted as more information becomes availableand provide everyone with an opening date just as soon as we know. Please understand that if you do choose to go ahead and pay your dues for the 2020 season and we find ourselves in a position where we cannot open, you will have the opportunity to receive a refund for the season. We also plan to prorate the season for a late opening in accordance with our bylaws.  PHSC Bylaws...

We realize these are hard times for many and would like to extend a special thank you to all of those members who registered and paid prior to May 2nd.  As some of you may know, these early funds are essential to having the resources available to open the pool by Memorial Day weekend.  With your commitment, the pool now has the resources it needs to open the pool once we are allowed to do so!

Although we are unable to identify a date for opening at this time, your board remains optimistic that we will open at some point this season! Please keep in mind, all decisions made by the board will be in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the OhioGovernor, and the Montgomery County Health Department. We also plan on incorporating new protocols to ensure the safety of all our members, as well as our staff. We will communicatethose to you once we have a better idea of what that will look like.

Thank you all for your continued patience during this unprecedented time. We hope to see you all soon!
