Sailfish End of Season!

Jillian Orton

Dear Sailfish,

It is so hard to believe the 2021 regular season of the Sailfish is complete! It was a great season. A big special thank you to Coaches Caroline, Ryan and Andre! This was one of the best coaching staffs I have had, they really put in a lot of effort to help your swimmer(s). Another special thank you to our amazing Mentors, unpaid, these 13 and over teammates put in a lot of time and effort to teach our young Sailfish a new stroke or skill! Of course, a huge thank you to all the swim team board members for all their efforts and our fantastic parents and siblings for all their volunteer work to make our meets run smoothly! It takes a lot of volunteers to make these swim meets, and events run for our Sailfish!

Our last two meets this past week were very exciting, we had a lot of personal best times, swimmers competed in new events and we took away two wins! I have told your swimmers, but please keep them in the water over the winter! Ida Lee offers many programs at different times throughout the year. Please take advantage of these! Feel free to email me to ask specific questions as to what group or program would be best for your swimmer(s).  If you are looking for something more serious, there are year-round swim teams in the area, SNOW Swimming, NCAP, and Blue Wave.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER awards! These awards are given to the athletes who scored the most amount of points for their age group! These could not be announced at the party because we had to wait for the last meet to run the report. This maybe my closest points report I have ever run! We have great depth on this team, and I am so proud of every swimmer and their efforts.
