Pegasus Aquatic Masters Swimming  

Established September 2020

We are a registered United States Masters Swimming club for anyone 18 or over that can swim one length of the pool continuously. We offer three levels of swimmers at each practice: beginner, intermediate and advanced. All practices are led by an experienced coach and lanes are divided up by speed and ability.

Membership Costs: $85 monthly dues auto-billed on the first of each month. 

Upon registration dues for that month will not be prorated depending on what day of the month you join but rather will fall into one of three categories:
1) 1st - 12th of the month - $85.00 

2)13th-26th of the month - $45.00

3) 27th-30th(31st) - $0.00

In addition, there is a one-time $25 new member registration fee.

USMS registration is required to be a member of PAMS. You must register for USMS before registering for a PAMS membership. You can be registered with any club in USMS.

 

Practice Times

Due to limited lane space per COVID guidelines at the SMU pool facility, you must register for a primary weekly swim time: noon or evenings. The Saturday and Sunday practice times are open and will run on a first-come, first-swim basis. You will not have to make individual reservations to swim each time.

Pool Location: SMU Robson and Lindley Aquatics Center located at 5550 SMU Blvd. Dallas, TX 75206 on the east side of I-75 behind the pony tower building. 

Parking: If you swim at the noon practice you will need to purchase a parking permit as SMU does give out tickets during business hours. The cost is $28.00 and it is good June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022. Once purchased we will mail the permit to you.


VERY IMPORTANT! SMU Pool Guidelines we will be following:
(read carefully as there are no exceptions during this time for everyone's safety)
 

Swimmers will enter through the main door. 

Your temperature will be taken by a touchless laser on each entry. A temperature of 99.8 or above you will not be allowed in the building.

The building will be closed, and the main entry door locked at the time practice starts. If you are late, you will not be granted access to the building. No exceptions. Please arrive early so the coach can get the practice started on time.

Check-in and temperature check will begin ten minutes before the scheduled practice start.

When entering the building each swimmer must be wearing a mask covering both nose and mouth.

Answer a series of questions related to recent health and possible COVID exposure.

Locker rooms will not be available. No showers or water fountains. Bring your own water.

Deck changing is prohibited by SMU and USA Swimming:
Deck change definition - Changing, in whole or in part, into or out of a swimsuit (excluding a drag suit) in an area other than a permanent or temporary locker room, bathroom, changing room or other space designated for changing purposes while at a practice, competition, or other pool-related activity.

No guests will be allowed in the building or spectator section, only those registered to swim at the designated time will be allowed in the aquatic center.

Lanes will be limited to 3 swimmers per lane.

No equipment will be provided. Each swimmer must bring his/her own kickboard, fins, buoy, paddles, and any additional equipment they wish to use. 

Upon the finish of swim practice, swimmers must exit the building from the south end, near the diving tower.

Deck showers will not be available nor will the locker rooms.

Lobby restrooms available for use one at a time. 

Swimmers will need to exit the building within ten minutes of the conclusion of the scheduled practice.
