Coaching Staff
Spencer Dornin Head Coach

Coach Spencer was a member of the USA National Team from 2000-2007 (World Championship Team in 2005). He was a four year starter, All-American, and team captain at UC Berkeley before playing professionally in Hungary, Italy, and Australia.  After retiring from professional water polo, Spencer was an assistant coach for the varsity water polo program in Laguna Beach, California in 2007-8.  He coached in San Francisco from 2008-20012 with the SF Tsunami master’s team and the Palo Alto varsity high school women’s team.

Since moving to Dallas in 2012, he has been coaching at St. Marks School of Texas and as Head Coach of Pegasus since 2016.

Brad Silver Coach

Coach Brad has over 27 years of aquatics experience in the United States and 3 years in Abu Dhabi. He was a nationally ranked age group swimmer and 7-year team member of United States Junior National Water Polo program, as well as an All-American in both Water Polo and Swimming.

He received a full water polo scholarship at USC, and after his active playing career tought Physical Education, Health, Science and Mathematics for students from kindergarten to high school. He has been an aquatics coach for swimming and water polo for boys and girls as well as men and women since 1993 and served as a California State Park Ocean Lifeguard for 15 years.

Grant Miller Coach

Coach Grant was a starter for four years and All American at Pepperdine University from 2004-2008. He was also a member of the US Youth and Junior National Teams from 2006-2008. After graduating Pepperdine he moved to France to play water polo professionally. Upon his return he coachd for Foothill Water Polo Club (Southern California) from 2009-2015 covering ages 10-18.

He served as Head Coach at Damien High School (La Verne, Ca.) from 2010-2015 and as Head Coach and Program Director of Mesa Water Polo Club (Mesa, Az.) from 2015-2017. Currently he is the Head Coach at John Paul II High School in Plano, Tx.

Peter Hudak Coach
Molly McBee Coach

Coach  Molly  was a Captain, four year starter, All-American, and Academic All-Ivy League selection on Division I Princeton University’s water polo team. She was also a member of the Women's US National Water Polo team from 2006-2012.

Originally from Palos Verdes, CA, she grew up playing for Los Angeles Water Polo Club where she was a 6-time All-American at JO’s, winning multiple national championships. Coach  Molly played at Palos Verdes High School as well, earning Most Valuable Player, Female Athlete of the Year, and Valedictorian honors. 

Coach Molly now works full time as a technology consultant at Mercer Digital and started coaching water polo part time in 2016 with Trident Water Polo Club and 2017 with Pegasus Water Polo Academy. 

Ashley Hatcher Coach

Coach Ashley was an ACWPC All-American, All-CWPA selection on Princeton University's Division I Water Polo Program. In her time at Princeton, Ashley's team won three CWPA Championships and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. Her senior year Ashley became the fifth player in school history to surpass the 200-goal plateau. 

Ashley grew up in Miami, Florida, playing for numerous South Florida Water Polo Clubs. Coach Ashley played at Miami Country Day School and earned back-to-back Most Valuable Player award and was a two-time member of the Florida First Team All-County Selection.  Ashley also later went on to coach the Raider Water Polo 18U Women's Team at Junior Olympics. 

Coach Ashley is a current member of the Argentine Women's National Team, whom she represented in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, and the 2018 South American Games in Peru. She also works full-time as a technology consultant at KPMG.

Juan Pablo Guapacha Coach
Coach Juan was born in Colombia were he studied at Escuela Nacional del Deporte (National Sports Collage), obtaining a BS Sports Studies. He coached U-16 and U-18 Boyas WPC and Yubarts WPC, as well as the Valle B U-16 regional team in national championships, and served as assistant coach for the U-16 Colombian National Team.
Juan has been playing water polo for 18 years, and throughout his career he accumulated multiple Colombian National Championships, and represented the National Team at several international competitions including Pan American Tournaments, South American Games and the 2007 Junior World Championship.
Aleksandar Stankovic Coach
Coach Alex is originally from Serbia where he was the goalkeeper of the Junior National Team of Serbia and Montenegro, which won the European championship in 2001. He then relocated to the United States and played Division I water for BYU-Hawaii and St. Francis College. He received an honorable Mention All-American squad award in 2004. He was coached by some of the legends in the water polo world including Nikola Stamenic, Nenad Vasilevski, Nenad Manojlovic and current USA Men's National Team Head Coach Dejan Udovicic.
Jonas Veazey Coach

Coach Jonas played water polo at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY where he served 2 years as captain and was a 3 year starter. Born in Dallas, Jonas grew up playing for Dallas water polo club for Coach Peter, Mihai, and Spencer. Jonas also attended Bryan Adams high school in   

East Dallas where he played for Coach Tom Daulton.    

Zack Cleveland Coach
Coach Zack  played Water Polo for Plano West Senior High School from 2011-2012. During this time he also played with the Spartans Water Polo Club in Dallas and attended one Junior Olympics with the 18U team. He attended St. Francis College in New York City where he played NCAA Division 1 Water Polo as a goal keeper from 2013-2017. During his time on the team they made one NCAA Final Four appearance. He has helped coach with several clubs including Thunder Water Polo Club and Bryan Adams High School Water Polo Club. 

After graduation,   Zack moved back to Dallas and now works as an Investment Analyst at Crow Holdings Capital.

Ursa Bezan Petric Swim Coach
Ursa is from Kranj, Slovenia where she was many times the Slovenian record holder in different age groups in the 100, 200, and 400 freestyle. She swam on the Slovenian team in the 2012 London Olympic Games helping her team place 12th in the 4x200 freestyle relay.  Ursa also competed on several European and World Championships.
She arrived in Dallas in 2013 to swim for the SMU Mustangs where she placed in the top three in the AAC, was a NCAA qualifier and a team captain her senior year. She graduated with summa cum laude at SMU with a BS in Applied Physiology and Health Mgmt and a minor in Chemistry. She has been coaching at the SMU Dedman Center and for the Dallas Aquatics Masters. She plans to apply to medical school in 2020.
Jan Petric Swim Coach
Coach Jan is originally from Kranj, Slovenia where he still holds multiple national records. He competed at multiple European and World Championships on both junior and senior levels. Jan continued his swimming and academic careers as a Division I student-athlete at Purdue University in Indiana, where he was selected the captain of the swimming and diving team his senior year. After graduation from Purdue in 2015 and before moving to Dallas in 2018 he was a swim coach for wide variety of swimmers, from beginners to World Championship medalists. Currently, Jan is also studying Prosthetics and Orthotics at UT Southwestern.
Timothy Simenc Coach

Coach Tim was a two time Texas State Champion and two time Texas MVP under the coaching of Spencer Dornin, Peter Hudak, and Mihai Oprea.  All-American First Team in High School. Played for a multitude of Dallas teams growing up but played for Lamorinda Water Polo in Moraga, CA his last two Junior Olympics. A member of the 2014 Youth National Team that traveled to Istanbul, Turkey for Youth Worlds and won Junior UANA Games that same summer.  Played at UC Berkeley where he won a national championship in 2016. 

Jeff Veazey Swim Coach

Coach Jeff Veazey has been teaching and coaching swimming over parts of the last five decades. He is a Level II Age Group and Masters coach and a certified stroke technician by the American Swimming Coaches Association. He is presently Head Coach at Cistercian Preparatory, at the KayCee Swim Academy, a year-round developmental swim team, and of White Rock Masters, an adult swimming program. He is formerly an associate head coach at Bishop Lynch H.S. and an age group coach with the Dallas Mustangs.

Luis Gonzalez Coach

Coach Luis was born in Venezuela where he also started playing water polo. He now has over 30 years experience as a water polo player, as he played at several national tournaments, as well as internationally for the Student Water Polo Club Zurich in Switzerland , and for the Jewish Water Polo Club in London, Great Britain. He particapted in the Master Pan American games in Orlando, FL. 2013 representing his home country as well as the I   nternational Herbert-Esters Water Polo Tournament.    From 2003 to 2007 he played for Dynamo Water Polo Club in Atlanta , until he relocated to Dallas where he has joint the Dallas Water Polo Club.

In addition to his playing career Coach Luis had the opportunity to Coach for 6 years in Venezuela and for the last couple of years in Dallas.
