Session Two (1/22-5/21)

So, it's starting to get a little chilly outside and everyone seems to be humming a holiday tune and putting lights up on their houses. But, despite the changing seasons, there are always kids who want to swim - and they are usually ours, am I right?

Well, we've got a way to get you kids swimming that doesn't involve the thousands of dollars investment, early morning wake-ups, and a 30 hours a week commitment that comes with Club Swimming. (Not that there's anything wrong with any of those options). Our Off-Season swim program has been going strong since September and Session Two kicks off in January with signups open NOW! ( click to sign up)
We will be meeting at Central Park Aquatics Center on Sundays and swimming from 5:00pm to 6:00pm beginning on January 22nd. Session Two will run through May 21st and consist of approximately 16 practices (NOTE: We will not swim on April 2nd or April 9th).
Prerequisites include: participation on a swim team (Guppies and other summer teams included), comfortable in the water by themselves, and able to swim across the pool. We may or may not have any coaches in the water with the swimmers - we hope to, but need to plan for both scenarios. The Shaw pool is only 3 1/2 feet deep, but we would really like all our swimmers to be confident and capable of being safely independent in the water.
Participation in the BASIC  Off-Season Swim program for all 16 Sundays is: $175.00. We have opened up registration online this year so we can best plan for our swimmers and be ready to go on day one. If you pay with plastic, there will be a 4% transaction fee. Checks should be made payable to “Bridlewaves Swim Team”; cash (in US denominations only) should be handed over calmly, with no sudden movements. This fee is non-refundable.
Also, if you have a swimmer currently in Session One, be sure to select "Off-Season Swim (Returning)" when you are asked, "Register to this group". If you are just now joining us (which is fine), please select "Off-Season Swim". This will help us make sure all our swimmers get put into the right lanes. Thanks.
One last thing: we will need at least 25 swimmers for the program to make sense and if we don't get that many, we'll have to make adjustments up to and including CANCELLATION (NOOOOOooooooo!)
You can prevent this from happening. Register now and tell your friends and neighbors and neighbors' friends to join in the fun.

All practices will be held at: Central Park Aquatic Center (10371 Central Park Drive, Manassas, VA 20110)
