DeeDee Tamburrino Woods Location Head Coach

I am a music teacher by vocation, but I have been swimming since early childhood.  My team affiliation as a young swimmer was with the Ponte Vedra Swim Team (PVST Polar Bears).  Coaches John Phillips and Steve Jarret created a love in me for the sport and an appreciation for safety in and around water.  Those were the days when Mark Spitz was a really big deal!! He was our hero, much like Michael Phelps and Missy Franklin are today. In 2011, I decided to pursue my Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification at the University of North Florida and Carlos Mejia was one of the instructors for the course.  The rest is history!!  While my own kids were swimming with the Wahoos, I was teaching swim lessons at UNF.  I taught all levels of swimming, including group lessons and private lessons.  I am thrilled to be in partnership with the Wahoo Swim Team this summer.  I will be the Site Manager at The Woods overseeing the operation there.  I look forward to meeting our swimmers now that school is out and swim season has begun! Go Wahoos!!

Assist. Coach Carson Roman Woods Coach

I have been swimming for 10 years. In addition to swimming with year-round teams, I have been a varsity swimmer at Providence for the last three years. My favorite event is the 200 IM. My goal for this summer swim season is to provide a fun and safe swimming environment, focusing  on technique. Coaching will allow me to help the kids create memories just like the ones I have been lucky enough to make.

Assist. Coach Michael Bucher Woods Coach
I have been swimming for 14 years, and really have a passion for the sport. I have been a coach for the past 5 years for Wahoos, and I really love what I do. I especially enjoy the fact that the team is so close, and everyone on it is like my extended family. My favorite stroke is breastroke. Being a Coach for Wahoos, I get to bring my experience to help the younger kids on the team not only to get faster, but also to help them grow their love for the sport. This year, I hope to improve my own times, and help the kids I coach to improve their times as well. As for the future, I hope to continue coaching in the summer and I will be swimming for the Club team at the University of Florida. Go Gators!
Assist. Coach Colton Martin Cornerstone Coach

Coach Colton Martin has been a competitive swimmer for five years and an assistant coach for Wahoo's for four years, coaching our 'Advanced' age group. A recent graduate from Providence School, Colton swam under the leadership of Coach Carlos throughout his high school career where he competed twice at the FHSAA State Championship and qualified for the Florida Swimming Senior Championships. As an assistant coach for our team, Colton hopes to share his love of the sport with his swimmers and provide them with the tools and skills to excel in and out of the pool.
