Wahoo's of Jacksonville is a swim team located in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2014, Coach Carlos and Stacy Mejia aquired the Wahoo's Swim Team. The team would only function during the summer with over 140 swimming participating in the River City Swim League.

In 2015 Coach Carlos started coaching a few swimmers year round. These swimmers will work with him in the Winter and the Spring. Their main objective was to achieve cuts, drop times and qualify to state and national meets. In 2018 the Wahoo's Swim Team became the Wahoo's of Jacksonville. A competitive year-round USA Swimming Team.

Our desire has been and is to provide our families with a safe and fun place for kids to enjoy the sport of swimming. After years of waiting and traveling around Jacksonville, we have a place to call home at Harvest Community School! We are beyond excited to see where our future goes…

We try to create an environment for not only our swimmers but also for our parents to feel comfortable and enjoy fellowship while watching our kids do great things in the water. We believe that the sport of swimming and all of its demands can translate into life skills. We want this time to be more than just swimming or a workout but a place to grow and learn to be whom you were made to be.

Come be a part of our incredible swim program ...GO WAHOOS!!!

Our Summer swim team is a community based team where we accept swimmers of all abilities to learn to the competitive strokes, learn what it means to be a part of a team, and have fun all at the same time. We participate in introductory meets around the Jacksonville area so swimmers and their families slowly learn all the ins and outs of the sport. Wahoos are not a part of any summer leagues at this time. Our season begins in April through the end of July.

Our year-round program starts in mid-August and finishes in mid-March for Short Course Season and April to July for Long Course Season.  Our swimmers compete locally and out of town swim meets in the pursuit of obtaining qualifying times for FLAGS, SR. CHAMPS, ZONES, JR. NATIONALS, NATIONALS AND OT. We are a competitive swim team that helps swimmers achieve their goals.
