Who:

Swimmers that want to experience being part of a swim team. These swimmers are new in the sport and they want to develop their swimming skills.

Ages:

6 - 7 year-olds

Frequency:

60 minutes Three times per Week

Levels:

Two: Yellow & Blue

Swim Meets:

It is optional, but encourage. Only Introductory meets for this group.

Requirements:

  • Participants MUST swim 15 yards without assistance freestyle, 15 yards backstroke, and float for 15'' on their back. If participants do not meet the requirements, he/she can take some FINS lessons in order to prepare for the swim team. 

  • Participants MUST swim 25 yards freestyle, 25 yards backstroke andfloat for 30'' on their back.
  • Dive Start: Seating and Kneeling
  • Able to dolphin kick for 25 yards.

Group Goals:

  • Learn the basics of competitive swimming
  • Breathing, kicking, and body position
  • Continue learning about competitive swimming
  • Learn a good and efficient freestyle and backstroke.

Who:

Swimmers that want to experience being part of a swim team. These swimmers are new or returning in the sport and they want to develop their swimming skills.

75 minutes Three times per week minimum and maximum of Five

Levels:

Two: Yellow & Blue & Dark Blue

Swim Meets:

It is optional, but encourage. Juniors can participate in Introductory and Competitive Meets. If you swimmers is new in the sport, we recommend that they do a season of only Introductory Meets.

Requirements:

 

  • Swim 25 yards above water without assistance.
  • Able to float 30'' on Back
  • Able to doplhin kick for 25 yards
  • Meet Age requirement
     

  • Perform and know 3 out of the 4 competitive strokes
  • Demostratre Flip turns for Free and Back
  • Racing Starts: Seating, Kneeling, and Compact dive.

 

  • Swim correctly 25 yards of each competive stroke.
  • 25 yards of underwater dolphin kick 
  • Racing Starts for all Strokes
  • All open and flip turns for all strokes
  • Complete 10x50 on 1:30

Expectations:

  • Come 2-3 times per week
  • Be on time for practice
  • Bring the correct equipement for practice
  • Be respectful and cordial to coaches and swimmers.
  • Complete all sets at best abilities
  • Come 3 times per week
  • Be on time for practice
  • Bring the correct equipement for practice
  • Be respectful and cordial to coaches and swimmers.
  • Complete all sets at best abilities
  • Avoid cheating during set
  • Use proper lane etiquette at all times.
  • Come 4-5 times per week
  • Be on time for practice
  • Bring the correct equipement for practice
  • Be respectful and cordial to coaches and swimmers.
  • Complete all sets at best abilities

Group Goals:

  • Learn the basics of competitive swimming. 
  • Learn kicking, body position and basic drills for freestyle and backstroke.
  • Circle swimming and lane etiquette
  • Learn about all competitive strokes. 
  • Perform all flip turns, and open turns for all strokes
  • Perform a safe diving progression for all strokes.
  • Perform all strokes correctly.
  • Perform correctly ALL turns and open turns for all strokes including IM transitions.
