Coach Annie has been swimming with the Sacramento Stingrays for nine years and coaching for five of those years. A sophomore at Sacramento City College, Annie is on both the Water Polo and Swim teams.   Annie was a member of the Kennedy High School Varsity swim team four years, was Metro League Champ in the 500-yard free for four years, and in the 200-yard IM for two years, and the 200-yard freestyle for two years. Her favorite events are the 500-yard free, 200-yard free, and the 100-yard breaststroke. She can't wait for another great Stingray season!

Calvin Elliott

Coach Calvin has been a Stingray for many years.   He holds the Stingray team record for the 50 Butterfly in both the 13/14 and 15/18 age groups.   Calvin is aiming for the league record in this event and can’t wait to bring his experience as a swimmer into coaching.  This is Calvin’s first year coaching and he is looking forward to an exciting season.

Camille Combrink

Hi, I’m Coach Camille and I have been swimming in SSL since I was seven and have been on the Stingrays since I was twelve. I will be a junior this fall at C.K. McClatchy High School where I also swim for their team. My favorite stroke is backstroke but my favorite event is the 500 free. This is my first year coaching and I am really excited to help the younger kids perfect their strokes, starts and turns so they can reach their goals this season. When I am not swimming, I enjoy running both independently and for my school’s cross country team, attempting to read through Belle Cooledge Library’s entire teen fiction section, and studying history, specifically behind art and architecture. I am super excited to join the Stingrays coaching staff and I am looking forward to a successful season!

Emmie Seelig

oach Emmie

Coach Emmie has coached for the Sacramento Stingrays for two years. She is a Junior at John F. Kennedy High School, and has been swimming for the JFK High School team for two years. Her favorite stroke is freestyle, and her favorite event is the 500-yard free. She is looking forward to working with the Stingray Pups again this year, and helping all swimmers reach their goals.

Grant Greenlow

oach Grant

Coach Grant attends John F. Kennedy High School, he is in the class of 2019. Coach Grant is a longtime Stingray. He started swimming with the team when he was 6 years old, and has been swimming ever since! He has coached for one year with his first year coaching with the Stingrays last year. His favorite event is the 50-yard freestyle. He says he got hooked on freestyle sprints after setting the league record for 6 and under his first season as a swimmer. As one of the swimmer/coaches this year, he is looking forward to getting to know the younger Stingrays and helping them develop the same passion for swimming that he has.

Kalena Ozdaglar

oach Kalena

Coach Kalena (pronounced Kuh-lee-nuh), but she also answers to Coach K. A Junior at Kennedy High School, Kalena has swam for two years and coached for one.  Her favorite strokes are freestyle and backstroke and her favorite event is the 50-yard freestyle. She is excited for the season and is looking forward to all the swim meets!

Matt Lee

Coach Matthew will be a senior this fall at JFK. A Stingrays swimmer since he was seven, he currently holds records in the 100 Fly (15-18) and the 200 Free Relay (15-18). Matthew also swims for the JFK Swim Team, where over the past three years, he and his teammates have smashed several 25+ year old JV and Varsity school records. When he’s not swimming, Matthew enjoys playing the piano and composing music. He is also a member of the JFK Marching Band where he plays the tenor sax and is a section leader. Matthew is thankful for the opportunity of being a Stingrays coach and mentoring our young swimmers. Go Stingrays!
