Head Coach Sofia Ferrante:

Hello Tsunamis!

For those of you who I haven’t had the pleasure of coaching yet, my name is Sofia Ferrante and I am thrilled to be back coaching my Tsunamis again!

I coached for Sutter Lawn in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and I am fired up to feel the magic of this team in 2022! My husband and I live here in East Sac, and own a gym in Land Park called Power Pack Fitness. I earned my bachelor's degree in teaching from Sac State and my master’s degree from UC Davis. I spent 2 years teaching before dedicating my time to being a fitness professional. As an athlete, my competitive career lasted for 13years where I began as a rhythmic gymnast. After a sudden transition out of this, I was introduced to water sports and I fell in love immediately! I jumped right in to synchronized swimming, and learned quickly that there was indeed a sport that was more challenging than gymnastics! I had the opportunity to represent Team USA in different countries, and learned from coaches who left a lasting positive impact on me to this day. While I was competing in synchro, I was training diligently in swimming, and in our off season, I played water polo for my high school. While being an athlete was a huge part of my life, leading and coaching is where I have found my passion. I coach because I’m dedicated to inspiring athletes to find their fire and motivating them to achieve their personal best!

If there is anything that you’d like for me to know, I can be easily reached by cell phone (call/text) at (925) 817-0784, as well as by email at [email protected] I’m looking forward to connecting/reconnecting with all of you!

Go Tsunamis!
