SSC Update 8/26: Pool Hours + Food Truck Update + Other reminders from the Pool

August 26th

Dear Swarthmore Swim Club Members,

The unpredictable summer weather has led to another food truck to cancel their trip to the pool. Let’s hope it  cooperates the rest of the week so we can have lots of fun and food at the pool! 

Upcoming Events:

Thursday, August 26th

• Swap Day: Swarthmore is open for the day at no charge to members of Wallingford, Rose Valley, and Creekside Swim Clubs

• QUIZZO in the Grove with Swim Team Parent Rep Host Mike Karpyn! Still on! If anything changes based on weather, we will send a follow up message. 

  • Thursday, August 26th 6-8PM 

  • Team size is flexible-- you can come alone or with a group that fits at a picnic table (approx 6-8). 

  • Thanks to those who RSVP’d! We still have room, so walk-ins are welcome. 

  • The winning team gets an amazing gift basket from multiple local businesses! 

Friday, August 27th

• All Day- Buddy Day - All Guests 13 and Under are welcome for $1 each

  • All guests must be accompanied by a member

• 5:30-7:30pm  Food Truck Friday: Red Stone Pizza Truck returns! 

• 6PM Raft Night

Sunday Supper

• Come to enjoy BBQ food prepared by the SSC staff at the pool.

  • Veggie/Meat Burgers $3

  • Sausage + Onions $3

  • All Served with chips and watermelon

Monday, September 6th

• Final Day of the 2021 Season

A few additional updates and reminders:

• At the SSC, we always have safety top of mind, so we are adjusting our closing time to ensure our guards and our guests have optimum visibility while using the pool and pool grounds.

  • Saturday August 28th thru Labor Day

    • Pool and Grounds Close 7:30PM

• SSC Car Magnets: Want to show your SSC pride? We now have SSC Car Magnets for sale in the office/snack bar for $3 each. 

• Music to our ears! Based on requests and to add to the ambiance and energy of the pool, we will start playing music at the SSCl for a portion of the day. Dancing is encouraged (just no running, ok kids!)
