Guidelines related to COVID-19

The purpose of these guidelines is to communicate the policies and procedures in place to maximize safety at the pool as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 Pandemic. The good news is many of the restrictions put in place last season will be relaxed in line with CDC guidance and state regulations.  We feel comfortable reinstating select activities and events that we have had in past years at the pool for a number of reasons noted below:

  • Being outside is relatively safe from transmission of COVID-19
  • We currently have low community spread
  • We have broad access to and high compliance in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in our area

WIth that said, we will still require a number of practices in order to stay vigilant and ensure we continue to protect the health and safety of our staff and members.

  • Waiver – All members will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability.  Each adult on your family membership, including caregivers over the age of 18, MUST sign for themselves, their caregivers under the age of 18, and their children/family members under the age of 18. The waivers must be dropped off on your first visit for the season. Members will not be able to enter the Club without a signed waiver.  Members and Caregivers under the age of 18 will not be given access to SSC unless their parent/guardian/employer signed the waiver.
  • All employees and outsourced contractors will be required to sign the Club waiver.
  • All staff will be required to support keeping the pool clean and well maintained.
  • Masks: In accordance with CDC Guidelines as of May 13th, fully vaccinated members will not be required to wear a face mask at the pool.  Vaccinated members are welcome to wear masks if they choose to do so.  We ask those who have not been vaccinated to wear a mask as long as a state mandate is in place and we will rely on our members to follow the guidelines based on their vaccination status.
    • For those who still need to wear a mask, please note where masking is recommended:
      • Masks should be worn entering and exiting the property and using any shared area, such as the restrooms.
      • Members under 2 years of age do not need to wear a mask as per the CDC guidelines.
      • Masks must be properly worn and cover the nose and mouth.
        • Towels or t-shirts over one's face are not permitted, it must be a proper mask or face covering (gaiter.)
  • Guest Policy – In order to prioritize access for our member-owners, guests are not permitted for the start of the 2021 season. Guests will be permitted starting Saturday, June 26th.  Guests passes will be $10 each.  Guests entering after 5PM will be charged $5 per visit. Passes may be purchased with cash or check at the pool office.  All guests must be accompanied by a member.
  • Check-In/Check-Out – All members must check out at the front desk when they leave the pool for the day. We will be updating our live capacity tracker on our website in order to allow members who are avoiding crowds to monitor how many people are at the pool.
  • Rising 7th graders and above are permitted to attend the pool without an adult or caregiver.
  • All babysitters/caregivers need to be 15+. All caregivers, siblings and family members who are accompanying younger members MUST remain on site sith any children in their care.
