Conduct Policy Agreement - 2021

In order to be an active member of the Santa Teresa Sea Otters Swim Team, I promise to act in accordance with the Sea Otters mission statement and abide by all the rules and regulations of the club, to attend swim practice and meets regularly, to put forth a conscientious effort to continually improve my swimming ability, and to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times. Coaches and Board Members have the authority to remove a disruptive or disrespectful swimmer or parents from practice, meets, or team events. Multiple behavioral issues may result in additional action, as determined by the board, which may result in suspension or dismissal from the team with no refund of fees.

  1. All Rancho Santa Teresa Swim and Racquet club dues and Associate Member dues will be current before the first day of practice or swimmers will not be allowed to participate.
  2. I agree to attend as many practice sessions as possible. USA Swimming and/or high school swimmers may arrange with the coach to practice with their USA Swimming and/or high school team.
  3. I will conduct myself in a respectful manner to parents, teammates, coaches and officials.
  4. I will notify the Head Coach by Wednesday, prior to a meet, if I cannot attend the meet on Saturday. I realize failure to do so may result in a loss of relay privileges.
  5. If I am scheduled to swim in a relay, I will notify the Head Coach by Wednesday, prior to a meet, if I cannot attend the meet on Saturday. I realize failure to do so may result in suspension or dismissal from the team.

If the violation occurs during a dual meet, the two teams involved will coordinate resolution of the issue.

Parent Volunteer Policy - 2021

Parent volunteers are essential to the success of the Santa Teresa Sea Otters swim team. To run the swim meets and our social events effectively, we must have volunteers. Since we don’t know all the details about meets and activities for the upcoming season, volunteer sign-ups will not be a part of registration. Please understand you will be required to volunteer and these requirements will be communicated later in the season.  We do not yet know the amount of volunteer shifts that will be required of each family, but you should be prepared to volunteer at most (if not all) meets where your swimmer(s) participate.

If you have any questions, contact Allison Rice or Alicia LaMarche at [email protected].
