WENDY WEBSTER (Head Coach) -[email protected]

Coach Wendy was raised right here in Folsom, CA! She started swimming at the age 4 and joined the Folsom Sea Otters at age 6. She swam for the Folsom Sea Otters and Folsom High School throughtout her childhood. Her favorite events were freestyle and butterfly. Wendy loved swimming but she preferred to keep her races short and sweet – the 50 and 100 were her top events. When Wendy was 15 she started teaching swimming and took courses on coaching swimming at Brigham Young University and through ASCA. She continued her love for teaching after college and started coaching the Folsom Sea Otters in 2001. After living in France for a year, she returned to the Otters in 2003 as their head coach and started with Folsom High School, remaining there until 2007. She joined the Barracudas in 2013, after building a family of four with her husband. Wendy loves coaching because she loves helping others reach their goals and overcome fears. She also enjoys building a community and truly believes that a coach can make or break a sport. She strives hard to make sure that each swimmer feels noticed and welcomed. When she's not at the pool, you can find her hanging out with her family riding bikes around town, reading, playing sports, cooking or baking and taking care of her dog and chicken!
