El Dorado Hills Community Services District - Community Pool Rules 

The following rules have been established for the benefit and protection of all pool users.  The rules are to ensure safe and sanitary enjoyment of the pool and facility. Parents are  requested to caution their children to observe all rules and obey the instruction of the lifeguards and other District employees. Failure to comply with these rules may result in expulsion from the premises, and/or suspension of pool privileges for a period that is commensurate with the seriousness of the violation. 

A. Admission will be refused to anyone with skin lesions, infections, contagious disease, or wearing bandages. 

B. Only clean swimsuits will be allowed in the pool. No cut-offs or street clothes are allowed. No swimsuits below the knees. Children in swim diapers must wear a swimsuit over the swim diaper. We strongly recommend the use of sun block. 

C. No gum chewing in pool/deck areas. Hairpins/clips must be removed before entering the water; hair that is shoulder length or longer must be pulled back while swimming. It is suggested that rings and other jewelry also be removed.  Do not leave valuables in the dressing room or visible on pool deck. The District is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 

D. Children 9 years and under must be accompanied by a paying adult; children under 6 years old must be within arm’s reach of an adult at all times. The wading pool is restricted to children six years of age and under and MUST be supervised by an adult. No disposable diapers allowed in the pool. There are NO EXCEPTIONS! 

E. No masks, fins, snorkels, balls, floatation devices (Water wings, Noodles etc.), or other swimming accessories permitted during open swim hours with the exception of kick boards during lap swimming. Coast Guard approved  lifejackets are allowed if the parent or guardian is within reaching distance of the child at all times. 

F. NO RUNNING ANYWHERE IN THE POOL AREA. Pushing and rough housing will not be allowed. Yelling, dunking, wrestling, repeated splashing of other persons or other types of horse play will not be tolerated. Personal conduct in  or around the pool facility must be such that safety of self and others is not impaired. 

G. One person at a time on diving structure. Dive or jump straight out from board.  Swim directly to ladder closest to you. Do not jump/dive off board until  swimmers have cleared dive area. No hanging or sitting on board. No back dives, inwards dives, reverses, or excessive bouncing. 

H. No bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, or pets allowed in pool/deck areas. 

I. All persons should shower before entering pool. Excessive time or playing in showers is not allowed. 

J. Parking is prohibited in emergency access / exit areas. 

K. In the case of unsafe water, weather conditions (lightning), or power outage  the pool area will be evacuated until conditions are deemed safe by staff. 

L. Pool access will be temporarily closed in cases where pool area maximum  capacity (397 Persons) has been reached. 

M. Pool may be subject to early closure due to low attendance, as determined by staff. 

N. No pets allowed within the pool area.
