What: TAZ’s main fundraiser for the season! Our team relies heavily on fundraising to support the overall high quality swim season and experience for our families. Swimmers fundraise for the team in advance of the event, and then swim laps to win prizes at the event. Our goal this year is $10,000.
- Swimmers will receive raffle tickets based on how many laps swam. They can trade in tickets for some fun prizes!
- We will have music, lawn games, a Fiesta photo area with props for some added fun!
- You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner, but we will have a Taco Bar option onsite that will be offering delicious tacos, beans, and rice for pre-order! Fill out the pre-order form here and select your choice of tacos by 5/3/2023. Taco bar plate + drink is $12.
- Dessert included for all swimmers! Optional desserts for parents $2.
- Families can participate in our silent auction for some cool items!
When: Friday, May 5th from 6:00-8:30 pm.
Lanes will be set aside:
- 6:00-6:30 pm 6U and 7-8 age groups
- 6:30-8:00 pm Open lap swimming for all ages
The silent auction will close at 8:00 pm.
Where: CSD Pool Deck

Commit: Last day to commit to the event is May 3, 2023. To sign up your swimmer, visit the TAZ team website and scroll down to Upcoming Events and select Attend/Decline and sign up for Volunteer jobs. Instructions on how to commit for the event are attached.
HOW CAN YOU HELP LAPS FOR TAZ BE A SUCCESS?
1. VOLUNTEER - We are looking for volunteers to help with the following:
- Setup
- Registration/Tickets
- Cupcakes
- Taco Bar
- Prize Tables
- Donations
- Lap Counting (Parents are tasked with counting their child’s laps, but we will have one volunteer per lane to support parents with multiple kids in the pool).
2. Donate prizes - Have movie tickets, gift cards, iPads, etc - we are looking for prizes for swimmers. E-mail Lacy Whitworth [email protected] if you would like to donate anything.

- ALL swimmers who raise $100 will get exclusive TAZ-PJ pants!
- Top 3 Fundraisers:
- 1st Place - Personalized swim parka and $50 Spirit Wear Voucher.
- 2nd Place - Personalized swim parka and $25 Spirit Wear Voucher.
- 3rd Place - Personalized swim parka.
4. Swimmers with the most laps in each age group (6U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13+) will win a special TAZ medal and get team recognition!
