Coaching Staff
Like you, Coach Bevin wants nothing more than to encourage children and teens to experience the true joys and benefits that the sport of swimming can offer. Is swimming simply a way to cool off on a hot, sunny day? It is purely an essential, life skill? No, this sport can provide people with so much more – it can provide young swimmers with a number of important life-learning skills that will remain with them throughout their lives.
With over two decades of coaching and teaching experience, Bevin has been dedicated to sharing her love for competitive swimming. Aside from the physical, social and developmental benefits you can gain, she appreciates, and shares with her athletes, that swimming is a FUN, REWARDING, AND EXCITING sport for them to enjoy.
Under Bevin’s guidance, the team provides athletes with a supportive, wholesome social outlet, teaches sportsmanship, develops team camaraderie, and establishes close friendships -- many of which last for a lifetime. One of her students recently posted, “Ms. Sullivan does more than just teach you, she will touch your heart. #LovingTeacher.” To Bevin, mentoring children this way has been a life-long dream for her.
Bevin has been coaching the Pennypacker Swim Team since 2010. Additionally, she is a 5th grade teacher at Starkweather Elementary School in West Chester and an assistant manager at the club.
Bevin’s relationship with the sport began at the age of 5. From the beginning, she was involved with competitive swimming and continued to be throughout high school and college, where she added Water Polo to her repertoire. Bevin was recruited to begin teaching swim lessons at the age of 14 and to begin coaching the sport at the age of 16.
Some of her accomplishments and successes include: Steven Erikson Dedication Award, Cecil E. Tate Sportsmanship Award nominee, Citadel Heart of Learning nominee, West Chester University Athletic Scholarship, West Chester University Swim Team and Water Polo Team Captain, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference State Qualifier and Finalist, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference All-Conference Student Athlete.
Jeremy has been coaching swimming for 20 years, and doing so professionally since 2005. He is currently the head coach of the Radnor Aquatic Club located in Wayne, PA. 2019 is his 7th year with the club and 4th as head coach. In that time he has been privileged to work with swimmers ranging from learn to swim to Olympic Trials. Before joining RAD he worked at the Baldwin School as the Head Coach of their age group program and a member of their PE staff.
Jeremy is no stranger to the SSL. For the last 11 years he has served as the head coach of Stony Lane Swim Club in Gladwynne PA.
Jeremy lives in Downingtown with his wife, son, and three daughters. He is excited to join the PCC family and to be part of a swimming community that is closer to home!
Beth Enterline started on both the diving and swimming teams for St. Albans (Newtown Square, PA) at age 7 and continued competing for 11 years. She moved onto diving and swimming at Radnor Senior High School (Radnor, PA). Beth finished her senior year placing 3rd in the Pennsylvania diving districts championship. She taught swim and dive lessons for the summer day camp at Notre Dame Academy (Bryn Mawr, PA). This will be her sixth season as a member of Pennypacker and her twins (Jack & Mia) are on both teams. She is very excited to be joining the staff as a diving coach in something she is so passionate about. Most days you can catch her still doing some tricks off the board and encouraging children to challenge themselves.
Joanna Nee started swimming and diving at Folcroft Swim Club in the Delaware County Swimming and Diving League when she was 8 years old until she graduated high school. Coach Nee is new to the PCC coaching staff this year and will be coaching diving this season. She is a biology teacher at Bayard Rustin High School in West Chester and is the head diving coach for West Chester East High School. Over the years, she has coached both PIAA District and PIAA State qualifying divers as well as novice divers. With 16 years of coaching experience, Coach Nee is looking forward to meeting her new PCC family and coaching divers of all skill levels.
