Head Counselor

Lindsey Abesh is thrilled to be joining Barclay Farm Swim Club Summer Camp team. During the school year, Mrs. Abesh also works at A. Russell Knight Elementary, right here in the neighborhood, as a first grade teacher.  Having grown up going to camp every summer, Lindsey loves taking a break from classroom instruction to have fun in the sun during the summer. Lindsey is excited to be leading the charge in extending our camp program to three- and four-year-olds this summer.   Lindsey will be responsible for planning and executing fun filled mornings for our youngest campers. Activities will include, but are not limited to daily community circles, water play, story time, arts & crafts, special events, and more!

Lindsey grew up in East Brunswick, NJ and attended The Pennsylvania State University. Every summer of her childhood was spent at camp. She currently lives right here in Cherry Hill with her family. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a master’s in Special Education and a certification in Early Childhood Education. Lindsey has been teaching Kindergarten and First Grade since 2010. She has taught in Washington D.C., Camden NJ, and joined the Russell Knight family in 2020. Lindsey cannot wait to share her love of camp, sunshine, and fun with everyone at Barclay Swim Club this summer.
