Want to Join the Granite Bay Gators?

Thank you for your interest in the Granite Bay Gators.  The Granite Bay Gators Swim Team is open to swimmers ages 4 and up who can swim at least 25 yards.

New Swimmer Registration – OPENS Jan 12th 2023

Registration must be completed via the Gators website at www.granitebaygators.com.  Click on Gators Registration for more information. 

You will need to create a family account to be able to register your swimmers. Once registered, the status will be set as Pending Approval. We will only be approving swimmers ages 4 and up who can swim at least 25 yards.

If you have a sibling of a returning swimmer who did not swim with the Gators before, but wants to participate this year, you may register the sibling(s) at the same time you process your returning swimmer registration. Please e-mail [email protected] to confirm we can accommodate the sibling(s).

2023 Ages 10 & Under Swimmer Assessment

Process

1. Register online. After completing your registration and completing payment through the website you will be issued a receipt with “Pending Team Approval”.   Final approval will be processed by the Gators Registrar; further emails will only occur if there is a problem with your registration information.

2. Attend any of the swim assessments at GBHS swimming pool.  Please have your swimmer ready in a swimsuit and make sure they have goggles and a towel.  Please arrive no later then 6:20 PM

  • April 10 @ 630 PM

3. We will check in your swimmer and have them in a lane with a coach for assessments. 
 
4. Coaches will be looking to see if your child is water safe, if they can swim at least some of the strokes for their age level and how well they listen.

5. If swimmer makes the team, registrar will approve the registration and the family will receive the login instructions to the site. If you did not pre-reister, registrar will notify you so you can register online. 

6. If swimmer did not pass the swim assessment, registrar will inform you and refund your registration fees.

Parent Participation

As an independent parent-run organization, your involvement is critical to the success of our program. We require that every family volunteer at every meet where your child participates.  More information about volunteering and how to get involved with the team will be covered during the mandatory parent meeting.
