BLACKHAWK COUNTRY CLUB

2021 MINI-HOX SPRING CLINICS

Monday, March 8 – Friday, March 26 (5 Days/Week)

PROGRAM INFORMATION

This program is ideal for 3 - 6-year-old children who enjoy the water but may find it challenging to swim the full length of a 25-yard competition pool. Program is intended for children who enjoy the fun and excitement of participating as part of a group while preparing to participate as part of the HOX Swim Team in the coming year or two.

The Mini-HOX Spring practices are run by Coach M and Coach Christa. The coaches will be in the water with the Mini HOX swimmers during practice. They focus on teaching stroke technique in all four competitive strokes: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle as well as other fundamental principles of swimming. Your child should be 3-6 years old by March 1, 2021 and fully potty trained to participate in the Mini HOX program.

Additional clinics will be offered in April and May as extensions to the March Mini-HOX clinic.

IMPORTANT: If you are new to BCC, new to Mini-HOX or unsure if your child is ready, please contact Sean Quackenbush – [email protected], to coordinate an observation of your child. To find the best fit for each swimmer, the coach reserves the right to make the determination if your child is ready for Mini HOX, refer them to another program and/or make adjustments to their participation.

PROGRAM COST & DETAILS

  • Cost:  There will be 15 sessions offered in March and program cost will depend on number of registrants in your group.

Coach to Swimmer ratio 1:2 cost is $675

Coach to Swimmer ration 1:3 cost is $495

Coach to Swimmer ration 1:4 cost is $375

Members do get to choose between these options according to their preference of practice environment since less swimmers would mean more 1-on-1 time for each swimmer with the instructor and we will try to make these preferences as much as possible. However, we might need to ask you to upgrade to a group with fewer swimmers in case we do not fulfill the group of your preference due to lack of registrants or a conflict in skill groups. That is, depending on registration and group assignments members will pay the fee based on the class ratio detailed above.

**BCC Member accounts will be charged after a successful registration.

  • Program Dates: March 8th to March 26th
