Brittany Coverstone Head Swim Coach

Brittany is a third-grade teacher at Pleasant Valley Elementary. Her background in swimming consists of club swimming in West Virginia, Texas, & Virginia, coaching summer league at Roanoke Country Club from 2005-2013, coaching her alma mater high school for a season, and teaching swim lessons all throughout. While club swimming, her events were the 200 and 500 freestyle. In her free time, Brittany likes to workout at Rocktown CrossFit and make crafts.

Brit Rohrer Assistant Head Swim Coach

Brit started swimming for the Anacondas in 2006 and has been coaching since 2016. She swam at Turner Ashby High School for five years, where her favorite events were the 200 IM, 100 Back, and 100 Fly. Brit is a rising second year at the University of Virginia, where she plays club water polo, majors in Nursing, and plans to minor in Psychology. Brit's favorite pastimes are spending time with friends and family, and hiking with her dog. By the end of the season, Brit hopes that her swimmers will achieve their personal goals and looks forward to an exciting season with the rest of the Ashby community. Go Anacondas!!

Cathryn Sweigart 11-12 Age Group Coach

Cat has been swimming with Ashby Anacondas since 2005 and has loved every second of it. She is so excited to be able to take on the new journey of coaching the 11 and 12-year old’s this summer. She swam for Turner Ashby High School for 5 years and competed at the region and state level. She enjoys breastroke the most, but also enjoys the 200 IM and long-distance freestyle. Cat is now a rising sophomore at Emory and Henry College and is a member of their swim team. Cat loves working with kids and hopes that she can allow her swimmers to have a fun season where they can reach lots of goals and grow as swimmers and people. Go Anacondas!!

Ally Eberly 7-8 Age Group Coach

Ally is the 7-8 age group coach. She has been a member of the Ashby swim team for 12 years and has competed at the district, regional, and state levels of swimming for Tuner Ashby High School. In addition to coaching, she is a swim lesson instructor and a lifeguard at Ashby. She loves working with kids and spending free time at the pool. Swimming has had such a positive impact on her life and has allowed her to meet some of her best friends. She hopes that through coaching she will be able to give that same enjoyable experience back to young swimmers.

Jack Sellers Assistant Age Group Coach

This is Jack’s second year as an assistant coach. He has swum with the Anacondas for 5 years, Turner Ashby High school for 3 years, and this is his first year with the Valley Area Swim League. Jack’s favorite events are the 100 freestyle and the 100 IM. Other than swimming, he enjoys reading, acting, and camping.

Olivia Breneman Assistant Age Group Coach

This is Olivia's first year as a junior coach. She has swum for the Ashby Anacondas for 11 years and VAST for 5 years. She's also a part of Skills USA and won at nationals for Dental Assisting. She is also a part of Spanish and Art club and has a second job at the Bridgewater Retirement Home. Olivia's favorite events to swim are the 50 backstroke and 50 freestyle. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her friends and family. This is Olivia's first year as a junior coach. She has swum for the Ashby Anacondas for 11 years and VAST for 5 years. Ada Cole Junior Coach

This is Ada ’s first year as a coach, but she has been swimming with Ashby Anaconda’s for four years, and Turner Ashby High School for two. Her favorite events to swim are the 200 IM and the 400 free. She participates in choir, plays violin, is on Charlottesville Derby Dames Junior Roller Derby team, and sells merch for Rocktown Rollers. She enjoys reading, drawing, listening to music, and thrift shopping in her free time.

Aliera Lewis Junior Coach

This is Aliera’s first year as a junior coach. She has swum since she was 6 years old. She has been on Turner Ashby’s swim team for 3 years now. She enjoys swimming butterfly the most. Other than swimming, she enjoys soccer and spending time with little kids. She’s excited to be a coach because she wants to teach kids how to be better swimmers and have fun while doing it!
