ERRA Coaches

At our home meet against Spotswood this past Tuesday, our team had over 280 individual races, and 127 of those were BEST TIMES!!! There were a few records broken (more to come on that soon!), and that leaves us with our championship meet at JMU in a little over a week. Great job everyone! We are (pretty much) undefeated. At our meet against Broadway this past Tuesday, our team had 268 individual races, and 124 of those were BEST TIMES!!! Add in all the relays, and there were a lot of kids swimming. Good job everyone! We had a few records broken and so many new personal bests! Overall we won the meet so we’re undefeated so far! Thank you to all the swimmers and parents being so flexible (especially with the relays)! We’ll be working more on breaststroke and butterfly as well as endurance in the next week....

Last week's team record only lasted one week - this event will apparently be a hotly contested race this season! At the Ashby meet on June 28, Isaiah Kite broke the 9-10 Boys 25 Freestyle record, swimming a 14.82 SCM. The previous record was set by Jed Gorby on June 21, 2022 and was a 15.65 SCM. Congratulations, Isaiah!!

The first record of the 2022 season has officially been broken! At the Massanutten meet on June 21, Jed Gorby broke the 9-10 Boys 25 Freestyle record, swimming a 15.65 SCM. The previous record was set by James Hewitt on July 9, 2019 and was a 16.06 SCM. Congratulations, Jed!!
