Alex Carapanos

Head Coach

Hello! My name is Alex Carapanos.  I grew up swimming on Valley Vista Swim Team in Walnut Creek, with my mom as director of the board for some years. They were some of the best summers of my life filled with great memories, lots of sun and chlorine, crazy rituals and special friendships. I have a love for County Rec Swimming and what it teaches our kids, both in and out of the water. I swam at Valley Vista until age 12 and then I swam for Walnut Creek Aquabears. While attending Northgate High School, I swam for the Broncos Swim Team where I built many special relationships and memories. I placed and finaled at North Coast swim meet and graduated as an All-American in swimming. I currently teach 6th Grade at Oak Grove Middle School and enjoy working with youth. I have coached for 3 years in summer rec swimming and look forward to bringing a positive energy and mind set to WCSC. I still swim for exercise, and am looking forward to joining the wonderful Walnut Creek Swim Club and community. GO WCSC!!!
