Mandy Sheehan Head Coach
Mandy Sheehan is a certified teacher with 7 years of experience teaching high school math. She received her teaching certification by joining Teach for America in 2013 and teaching in a low income community in Southeast Arkansas.  After 4 years of living outside of California she returned to the state she calls home to teach at Las Lomas High School.  Mandy joined WCSC when she was 5 years old and swam her whole career for the club before becoming a coach.
Mandy is excited to be back with the WCSC coaching staff once again and is looking forward to a great season! 
Brad Hoy Coach


Brad was raised in Walnut Creek and went through the Walnut Creek school system, including graduating from Las Lomas high school in 1975. He attended Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, and graduated with a History and Physical Education degree. Brad retired last June from 38 years of teaching middle school history and exercise physiology at Walnut Creek Intermediate. He was the head coach of Walnut Creek Swim Club from 1974-2011.Other coaching experience includes head coach at several high schools including Las Lomas, James Logan, Alhambra, and Berean Christian. Brad was also the head age group coach at Walnut Creek AAU (now Aquabears) in the mid 70’s, and head age group coach at Greenbrook USS team in Danville. He currently conducts personal training and private competitive swim lessons.

Amy McHale Coach


Amy is excited to be a coach for WCSC this summer!  She has coached summer recreational swimming in San Leandro for 10 years before coming to Walnut Creek. . She believes that being comfortable around the water and being safe in the water is important for everyone. It is so important for everyone to learn how to swim. All of her best days have been at the pool!

Amy swam and played Water Polo at Chabot College. She was the captain of the Swim team and they won Conference both years.  Amy's favorite events were the 200 Free and the 500 Free.

Currently she is working on a Teaching Credential and Masters Degree from Pacific Oaks College. She is very excited to be an Elementary school teacher very soon! Amy also enjoys camping, traveling, reading and cooking. She is looking forward to a great summer with WCSC!
