Providence Wellness Center (PWC) Facility Guidelines

6904 Providence Park S. 36695

The Providence Wellness Center (PWC) is a medical rehabilitation facility that is primarily used by individuals recovering from serious medical issues. Because of the vulnerability of many of these patients we must strictly adhere to following their protocols listed below to help ensure the safety for all. Be sure to read each of the guidelines below and share them with anyone who may be bringing or picking up your swimmer.

1.) All “Swim West Mobile” programs held at PWC (except for ISR) are Drop Off programs. Due to current PWC Covid 19 restrictions parents and other family members must remain outside and cannot come into the pool area when dropping off or picking up your swimmer. Masks are currently required for staff members while on the pool deck and any adult who is allowed to enter any part of the facility. (DO NOT bring your swimmer to practice if they have had a fever within the last 36 hours and/or if they are not currently feeling well.)

2.) Always bring your swimmer to the pool’s double door entrance on the left side of the building.  Do not use the front entrance. Swimmers will not be allowed to enter the facility until a coaching staff member greets them just before the start of their scheduled practice/lesson time. A coaching staff member will be visible at that time to welcome swimmers into the facility.

3.) We Do Not have access to PWC changing areas at the PWC site, so make sure your swimmer comes properly dressed (suit/towel/goggles) and ready to swim.

4.) We Do Not have access to the PWC restrooms as they are are strictly for the use of only PWC adult patients. Therefore, you will need to take care of your swimmer’s restroom needs before they come to practices. (This includes parents and their siblings as well.) (Note) Swim Instructors will not be able to take students to the rest room.

5.) Swimmers should not be left unattended or unsupervised outside the PWC facility. This includes siblings or any other children you may have with you.

6.) No food or drink is allowed inside the pool facility. (We recommend that swimmers not eat anything one hour before practices.)

7.) When your swimmer’s swim practice or lesson has been completed, our swim instructors will assist swimmers in gathering their belongings and exiting the facility; please be visible and available outside the double door to assist your swimmer as they leave. (Swimmers will remain inside until their parent is visible.)

8.) The Providence Wellness Center will not permit us to use the pool if thunder or lightning or any severe weather is present.  The minimum waiting time is 30 after the last thunder is heard. Parents should be present to pick up your swimmer up early if thunder or lightning or any severe weather presents itself during their practice time. We will use the “Remind” text notification system whenever possible if practices are cancelled. (See below)

9.) The “Remind” text notification system is available to help better inform our parents of any practice cancellations or unexpected changes. If you would like to be added to the 2020-2021 School Year system, just enter this short phone number 81010 in your cell phone and then text @pwc202 and you will be added to the process. The 2021 Summer Program (June/July) will be given a separate number/code on June 1.
